Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

Yet another engaging addition to the series. Took a while for me to get into it but it got good pretty soon after the first hour. Not to be missed by the Bobbiverse fans.

Worth the wait!
Revisado: 07-16-23
I waited anxiously for the audiobook version to drop. When it did, it was well worth the wait. The content covered the significant milestones of BTS, as well as their journey that transcended even their own wildest dreams. Their success were truly deserving as they worked and toiled endlessly, mastering their craft and delivering their best each time, in every medium chosen. I love how this book covered the cornerstones of their history to date and went through great lengths to describe the bond they have with ARMY and each other. Very well written and brilliantly narrated. Excellent pacing culminating to a finish that was true to BTS. The best is yet to come but the story so far has been rewarding, humbling and life affirming. Thank you for this book. This ARMY is truly grateful. 💜💜💜

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

I can't stop listening
Revisado: 06-05-17
Would you consider the audio edition of Nevertheless to be better than the print version?
Maybe. Most definitely. With Alec Baldwin narrating the book, the audio version has got to be better.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Nevertheless?
Baldwin's impressions of stars like Al Pacino. Just priceless.
Which character – as performed by Alec Baldwin – was your favorite?
The man himself. His narration was down-to-earth and heartfelt from the first minute until the very end.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Not sure.
Any additional comments?
Those who love this audio book of Alec Baldwin's memoir, check out his podcasts available on Spotify entitled "Here's the thing". His interview with the late Debbie Reynolds is a gem!

Historia
For as long as anyone can remember, Britt-Marie has been an acquired taste. It's not that she's judgmental or fussy or difficult - she just expects things to be done in a certain way. A cutlery drawer should be arranged in the right order, for example - forks, knives, then spoons. We're not animals, are we? But behind the passive-aggressive, socially awkward, absurdly pedantic busybody is a woman who has more imagination, bigger dreams and a warmer heart than anyone around her realizes.

She's no nag bag!
Revisado: 04-01-17
What made the experience of listening to Britt-Marie Was Here the most enjoyable?
The narration by Joan Walker is superb. She brings the characters to life as if they're jumping out of the audio and acting out live in one's mind.
What did you like best about this story?
The colourful characters and the unexpected story line. And how it keeps one guessing until the very end.
Have you listened to any of Joan Walker’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes! She does not disappoint. But a lot more restrained in this one, compared to the other books by Fredrik Backman she's performed.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not really, because I wanted to savour every minute and I needed it to last throughout my week-long commute.
Any additional comments?
I love the works of Fredrik Backman and the outstanding performance by the narrator Joan Walker. These two are the ultimate dynamic duo!

Historia
The hilarious, heartbreaking novel by the author of the international best seller A Man Called Ove. Granny has been telling fairy tales for as long as Elsa can remember. In the beginning they were only to make Elsa go to sleep, to get her to practise Granny's secret language, and a little because Granny is just about as nutty as a granny should be. But lately the stories have another dimension as well. Something Elsa can't quite put her finger on....

Elsa is my hero!
Revisado: 03-25-17
What made the experience of listening to My Grandmother Sends Her Regards and Apologises the most enjoyable?
The characters! So vividly described. You can't help but root for each one of them. Especially Elsa and Granny.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Elsa because of her courage and her wisdom despite being almost eight years-old. And Granny because she's mad in the best possible way.
Which character – as performed by Joan Walker – was your favorite?
Elsa - her voice resonates clearly thanks to Joan Walker.
Who was the most memorable character of My Grandmother Sends Her Regards and Apologises and why?
Granny because she's a fireball who lived her life to the brim and by her own rules.
Any additional comments?
I love everything by Fredrik Backman so far, all two of his audiobooks The first one was "A Man Called Ove" and this one is my second purchase. Looking forward to more great works by this brilliant author and the talented narrator too.

Historia
"While the history books are filled with tales of obsessive visionary geniuses who remade the world in their images with sheer, almost irrational force, I've found that history is also made by individuals who fought their egos at every turn, who eschewed the spotlight, and who put their higher goals above their desire for recognition." A life-changing experience
Revisado: 08-02-16
Where does Ego Is the Enemy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of the best audiobooks experienced this year
Who was your favorite character and why?
The book featured many. I can't choose one. And they're real people which made their stories even more inspiring.
What about Ryan Holiday’s performance did you like?
Real and laid back with moments of deeply-felt emotions.
What did you learn from Ego Is the Enemy that you would use in your daily life?
I learnt that the ego is at the center of almost everything we say, do and feel, Similarly it is also at the core of what we don't say, do and feel. Even our self-talk is dominated by it. And we are constantly challenged to choose, "What is the experience I want from this? One that is devoid of ego. One where I can connect with this other person, at the most human level possible?". You realise that ego gets in the way of many things - personal growth, love and relationships, true success, the pursuit of a good life. I have become more aware of these ego-centric moments and I am getting better at choosing moment to moment decisions to help become more present, mindful and purposeful in all of my interactions. I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who is sincere about pursuing a truly authentic life.
