Historia
It was a bleak November in 2012 when Cari Lea Farver vanished from Omaha, Nebraska. Cari, 37, was a devoted mother, reliable employee, and loyal friend - not the type to shirk responsibilities, abandon her son, and run off on an adventure while her dying father took his last breaths. Yet, the many texts from her phone indicated she had done just that. While Cari's boyfriend, Dave Kroupa, and her supervisor were bewildered by her abrupt disappearance, they accepted the texts at face value. Her mother, Nancy Raney, however, was alarmed and reported Cari missing.

intrigue at it's best!
Revisado: 06-14-24
This book kept me o. the edge of my seat from beginning to end. While I knew who the culprit was from the start I couldn't wait to find out how she would eventually get her just deserts.
She's a very smart woman, imagine what she could've accomplished if she'd put her talent to positive pursuits.

Historia
Psychologist Dr. Alex Delaware confronts a killer who takes as much pleasure in matching wits with the police as in robbing human life. A diplomat's retarded daughter is murdered on a school field trip. The girl's father denies the possibility of a political motive, leaving LAPD detective Milo Sturgis and his longtime friend, Alex Delaware, stymied. When another killing occurs, Alex finds himself ensnared in one of the most menacing cases of his career.

A real page turner
Revisado: 02-15-21
I go back and read all of the Delaware books from the beginning every 5 years or so. I read so much that I usually remember the basic story line but not the ending. This book had an amazing ending, a real edge of your seat ending. I was glued to my chair.

Historia
LAPD Lieutenant Milo Sturgis has solved a lot of murder cases. On many of them - the ones he calls "different" - he taps the brain of brilliant psychologist Dr. Alex Delaware. But neither Alex nor Milo are prepared for what they find on an early morning call to a deserted mansion in Bel Air. This one’s beyond different. This is predation, premeditation, and cruelty on a whole new level. Four people have been slaughtered and left displayed bizarrely and horrifically in a stretch limousine. Confounding the investigation, none of the victims seems to have any connection to any other.

another thrilling thriller
Revisado: 08-12-20
A bit different from his previous books. I loved that there were so many twists and turns.
I also liked that the ending was a bit of a diversion from other Delaware books.

Historia
When Matilda Benson solicits the help of Perry Mason, her request seems simple enough: cruise to a gambling ship moored just beyond the twelve-mile limit and buy back the IOUs signed by Miss Benson's niece. But after Mason reaches the floating casino, he discovers problems aplenty - most notably the ship's owner with a bullet hole through his head. Strangely enough, Matilda and her niece are also on board that night...when someone tosses a gun over the railing. Does Perry Mason's client have something to hide?

Great story
Revisado: 02-06-20
I really enjoy the Perry Mason series. I do wish the narrator had researched the legal verbiage more so than he did because their many words and/or phrases he pronounces incorrectly and it is extremely annoying!
