What happened to the narrator of the last 3books in this series. She was amazing! Hicks was so hard to believe as a still young velva Jean hart and was hard to follow as what character she was through out this book they all sounded the same ,only when she used a commonly used phrase ,little sister or pipes or any of the nicknames the characters gave each other was when you realize oh tjats who she is! awfully done. I don't WANT to rate any but S you know you have to sooooooo

It was nice to read something about Whitney that felt honest and not overly filtered. Sad to hear how so many sponged off her and continued to prop her up at her worst so they could see another dime. As far as Robyn the author goes sounds to me like their relationship was instigated by her while Whitney was a teenager on drugs and experimenting possibly since the sex part of the friendship ended with the disision to stop coke and her career was taking off. A lot of teen even college girls have had sex with the same sex but are not gay and Whitney didn't seem to have that happen again. So I got the impression of was not intended to be a couple relation since Robyn never mentions them hooking up ever again. I also don't get all the missed chances to speak to save my friend I would have tried a lot harder with the opportunities , we need to speak ok oops not now sounds like Robyn knew her place was an employee /childhood friend and was a little afraid of loosing her income and lifestyle and hung on until Whitney drugs or not, finally pushed her away. She did suffer so much as did Whitney but I also had a creepy feeling through the whole book about her true intentions for writing it. I hate to say that since I appreciated the ride and got background info I never heard before. It also helped me make up my own mind about all the rumors.

ironically I carry this kindle audio book with me in the kitchen and played it as a bake 3 different kinds of cookies to freeze & then cook dinner for my husband though I have been putting off a surgery that I need for my own health I wanted to make it easy for him when I came home from the hospital and would not be able to cook! this book couldn't have come at a better time God-bless you thank you Always had a special place in my heart for you Wy . Wy I am one. this did make a difference.

Couldn't put down!

Should say hated to pause since I bought the audio which I recommend because it has an extra chapter. ☺ I almost stopped before I realized it but while I was on pause thinking to myself awww wish it wasn't over, the last chapter started. Love,,love,love these two even more. Saying love three times wasn't on their hate list was it?
