Historia
When Luca Ward was five years old, he swore he would love Imre Claybourne forever. Years later, when Luca finds himself shipped off to Imre's North Yorkshire goat farm in disgrace, long-buried feelings flare back to life. The lines around Imre's eyes may be deeper, the once-black night of his hair silvered to steel and stone . . . but he's still the same slow-moving mountain of a man whose quiet-spoken warmth, gentle hands, and deep ties to his Roma heritage have always, to Luca, meant home. The problem? Imre is more than twice Luca's age. And Luca's father's best friend.

Absolute utter perfection.
Revisado: 07-01-23
I don’t do summaries and I don’t do spoilers. Basically ever. Heck, I rarely even bother to type out a review. I just give my stars and go.
For this one I will.
Warnings: have Kleenex. Just have it. Thank me later.
Don’t read/listen in public. This book is forking hilarious at points. And I’m not talking you blow some air out your nose. You’re gosh darn cackling.
It will gut you at times.
Slow burn. But the steamy scenes are spiced perfection my GOD this man can write. **chefs kiss**
And it’s not just useless prose filling up a page. Dude is on POINT. He forking kills it.
Okay I lied earlier, yeah, I’ll help a fellow reader out: HEA guaranteed. Because it almost killed me a few times I’m happy to prevent another death.
Philip Alces is sublime and beautiful in his narration.
67/10.
Just buy the bloody thing.

I am a monster. A ghoul. A demon. The bogeyman. I have been called all of them. Most creatures fear me but humans are repulsed by me. They are terrified of me. They have created legends about me ever since they became aware of my existence when the tear between our worlds grew and we—the monsters from their nightmares—flooded through in our droves. There is only one human who isn’t afraid of me, the only one who matters. I will destroy anyone who tries to hurt him or take him from me. Danny is mine.

Revisado: 06-11-23
This book was too adorable for words. It’s literally given me diabetes it was so sweet.
There’s truly like zero angst. But super hot sexy times.
Loved the fact it was from Wyn’s perspective. Also, the old man is hilarious. I love him so much I just want to bring him home with me but won’t because Danny would be super sad.
I’m gonna go make Michael Lesley some tea with a lot of honey in it now.

As they recount the events surrounding the disappearance of their toddler—one with a tendency to bite—two parents cope with grief in vastly different ways. While the father wrestles with feelings of guilt, the mother is convinced she’s spotted the boy in frightening TV news reports...though let’s just say he looks nothing like the precocious little boy they remember from a decade ago.

Four years ago, Logan Mitchell walked into Tate's life and challenged him to see it differently. He dared Tate to try a kiss when normally he wouldn't have. He begged him to take a chance when he probably shouldn't have. But most importantly, he asked Tate to trust that he would love him, and he did. From that moment on, Tate realized exactly what his life had been missing - Logan.

I will never get this time in my life back.
Revisado: 04-02-22
It occurred to me that I had missed this book (also the film) somehow. As a lover of all things horror, I felt rather embarrassed and then downloaded it.
Let me begin that I had to stop this book at least four times (therein substituted with stupid hot M/M gay erotica by Ella Frank) but not for the reason you might assume. It certainly wasn't that the level of violence got to me, I was expecting that going in. It affected me about as much as forgetting toothpaste at the grocery store.
The reason I had to stop this book so many times was that I was pulling my hair out due to being driven absolutely insane. This book is about nothing. It's about nothing with a side of murder. I have lost at least 47 IQ points listening to it, but I finished the friggin' thing. Somehow.
It's possible I missed the point, which isn't surprising - by the time I got halfway through I had the mental capacity of a jellyfish with a learning deficiency.
Was it about the dangers of over-indulgence? High-end fashion? Male insecurities? Utter narcissism? Warning people about doing too much cocaine? The proper way to wear a pocket square?!?! I literally have no idea. I don't know maybe it was about a hooker.
Take this review with a grain of salt. You may love it. I'm done. I gotta go return some videotapes.

Revisado: 10-15-20
This book is not scary, it's boring. Like put you to sleep boring. Nothing happens. It's not even interesting. I had this sitting on the shelf for a while, just waiting for Spooktober - biggest disappointment ever.
Not even the brilliance that is Ray Porter could save it! Don't bother.

A warning: this is not for the faint of heart. Not the timid.
That being said, should you so choose to delve into the darkest black hole from which there is no escape, while enjoying a psychosis from which you cannot rebound, buy the book. 10/10.

Historia
Five years ago, the US Space Force became a reality. And while those writing the checks took things very seriously, the other military branches did not. As a result, Space Force was populated by undesirables. My name is Captain Ethan Stone, a decorated member of SEAL Team Six turned Space Force "recruit". Flash forward five years and between tenses. President West is in office. Power has shifted. And Space Force is defunded. With just a handful of us still living on base, we find ourselves being evicted. But before all of us can leave, aliens invade.
