Absolutely wonderful!
Revisado: 02-15-18
What a great feast is here for children (and adults)!! In the Kindle version a listing of sources at the end quotes some great Christian stalwarts and is a treasure in itself. Reading the text and absorbing the beautiful artwork while listening to the expressive, soothing and dignified British voice of David Suchet is even better. Highly recommended!!

Historia
Taking its title from a poem that newlywed Daphne sent her soldier husband during World War II, When You Come Home tells of their young love in the heartland at the brink of war, and of the crushing uncertainty and fear as they find themselves a world apart. And when the poem comes back to Daphne - blood-stained by Raymond's mortal wounds - When You Come Home shares the extraordinary event that restored the grieving young widow's faith in the transcendent power of love.

Poignant love story
Revisado: 11-14-17
I thoroughly enjoyed the Audible version. Heart wrenching and very sweet love story. Shows classic Christianity lived out in the midst of tragedies. I enjoyed reading this book. What brave and strong people were those WWII war brides and their husbands! They were a different class of people than what we have now in today’s society. I don’t think our country could endure such losses today because we have no foundation in Jesus Christ and no hope as a nation since we have forsaken the faith of our fathers. What an inexpressible loss these people would feel, knowing they gave their lives for a country that is no more!! “Audible 20 Review Sweepstakes Entry”

Great narration
Revisado: 01-05-17
Like It's a Wonderful Life, Dickens' Christmas Carol is the quintessential Christmas story. It deserves to be read, watched or listened to annually. What a genius of a writer was Dickens to tell this story in such a way that it moves both young and old who hear it. Simon Vance's narration is distinct and passionately articulated. He is a very talented conveyor of all the emotions this tale presents. Absolutely LOVED IT!!!

Historia
Labeled variously a realistic story of whaling, a romance of unusual adventure and eccentric characters, a symbolic allegory, and a drama of heroic conflict, Moby Dick is first and foremost a great story. It has both the humor and poignancy of a simple sea ballad, as well as the depth and universality of a grand odyssey.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This book is good for anyone who is curious about Steve Jobs and wants to know more about his personal life, early and late.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Gratuitous profanity and vulgar language always makes me cringe, and there is a lot of it in this book.
Any additional comments?
Overall, enjoyable and fascinating to read about the life of a man who so fundamentally changed our world
