Historia
It’s not easy serving Chernobog, the God of Destruction, Darkness and Death…especially during the holidays; and especially when you’re out of eggnog and one of your pesky, freeloading mythic creatures has eaten your last cookie. Roman would like nothing more than to be left alone, but when a wounded boy stumbles into his yard and begs for sanctuary, Roman takes him in. Now elite mercenaries are camped out on his property, combat mages are dousing the house with fire, and strange priests are unleashing arcane magic.

Pointless Plot
Revisado: 01-15-25
Couldn’t get into the book and found the plot to be dull. I really enjoyed many of Andrews’ books in the past, most recently the Kate Daniel’s series. However, this story fell short of my expectations.

Poor Character Development
Revisado: 01-09-25
There’s hardly any character growth and the main character is just annoying. She says she wants to be independent and doesn’t want anyone to make decisions for her, but constantly forces her will on others. It’s a never ending circle of people trying to protect her, her getting mad that they’re trying to control her, and her turning around and doing the same to the people she cares about.
Additionally, using sexual assault as a plot line is poor taste.
It’s a shame really, I actually thought I’d like the main character. Instead I just grew to despise.

Being an unwanted twin in the Imperial line of succession, Farilane became a scholar, adventurer, and in a time when reading was once more forbidden—a book hunter. Her singular obsession is finding the mythical Book of Brin, a tome not just lost but intentionally buried. Respected and beloved by the Teshlor Knights, not even their legendary skills can protect her for what she finds is more dangerous than what she sought.

Absolutely fantastic
Revisado: 12-03-24
I’m completely blown away by the world and characters Michael has created. This was a wonderful book and it was my favorite conclusion out of all his books so far (I’ve yet to read Esraharddon and Drumindor).

Historia
Wolf of the North: It has been generations since the Northlands have seen a hero worthy of the title. Many have made the claim, but few have lived to defend it. Timid, weak, and bullied, Wulfric is as unlikely a candidate as there could be. Jorundyr's Path: Jorundyr's Path is walked only by the brave. As Wulfric pursues Adalhaid's Blood Debt, he soon learns that the path to revenge is never easy. The Blood Debt: A blade fit for a hero. An army for a tyrant. A reckoning long awaited, and a tale reaching its end.

Fantastic Story
Revisado: 10-04-24
Great character development, not your typical hero villain story arc to my relief. Enjoyed wondering where each character’s decisions would take them and how it would impact the story. I don’t want to give anything away, so just know you won’t regret this purchase.

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Revisado: 03-29-23
I’m so proud of Jannette for all the hard work she’s done to heal and her telling her story.
It’s not easy to confront your trauma and it’s hard to admit it out loud. I can’t imagine what she went through to get to the point of publishing this intimate story. I hope it’s brought some positive influence to her life. Thank you Jannette!

Historia
After narrowly surviving my debut into the magical world, I made a promise to myself: no more hiding in broom closets. But with the Mages' Guild reorganizing faster than anyone thought possible, and naming me as their number one target, that promise seems a little far-fetched. Especially since my training with Callie and Dizzy, the highly experienced dual-mage pair, goes off like a cake in a cannon. Left to find someone that can fill the role, it isn't until a formal dinner party goes horribly wrong that I find the best (and worst) solution imaginable: Reagan Somerset, the leather-clad crazy woman who busted into my broom closet sanctuary in the first place.

Intriguing story, but unlikable character
Revisado: 10-20-21
I liked the story and I’m interested in seeing how the series plays out. Only complaint is that Penny’s character was annoyingly whiny and appears to be a polar opposite to Reagan (especially in the confidence category). I hope to see her improve throughout the series though some proper character development.

Historia
Victoria McQueen has an uncanny knack for finding things: a misplaced bracelet, a missing photograph, answers to unanswerable questions. When she rides her bicycle over the rickety old covered bridge in the woods near her house, she always emerges in the places she needs to be. Vic doesn't tell anyone about her unusual ability, because she knows no one will believe her. She has trouble understanding it herself.

Can’t get past it
Revisado: 08-06-19
The Narrator’s voice wasn’t fitting for this story. Her voice is raspy and aged sounding, which is ill fitting for a book with so many childlike voices. I couldn’t fully enjoy the performance due to this. Other than that Kate’s performance was good. The book was a good story, wish I would’ve have just gotten it paperback.

Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Exceeded Expectations
Revisado: 05-03-19
Got it because I had an original credit to burn. I haven’t liked any of the others I have gotten, so I expected that would be the case with this book.
Wow, how wrong I was! I was hooked from the first chapter and I couldn’t stop listening. Would’ve listened in one straight shot if it weren’t for having to go to work.
Highly worth the time and it would’ve been worth the money if I paid for it too!
Great sorry, good performance...wish there was a sequel!
