Historia
Rare-book dealer Ashlyn Greer’s affinity for books extends beyond the intoxicating scent of old paper, ink, and leather. She can feel the echoes of the books’ previous owners—an emotional fingerprint only she can read. When Ashlyn discovers a pair of beautifully bound volumes that appear to have never been published, her gift quickly becomes an obsession. Not only is each inscribed with a startling incrimination, but the authors, Hemi and Belle, tell conflicting sides of a tragic romance.

Historia
After a health scare, 77-year-old Barbara goes to convalesce in the sleepy Somerset village of Winsleigh Green with her sister, Pauline, who is now a widow. Historia
Maisie Dobbs got her start as a maid in an aristocratic London household when she was thirteen. Her employer, suffragette Lady Rowan Compton, soon became her patron, taking the remarkably bright youngster under her wing. Lady Rowan’s friend, Maurice Blanche, often retained as an investigator by the European elite, recognized Maisie’s intuitive gifts. The outbreak of war changed everything. Ten years after the Armistice, in the spring of 1929, Maisie sets out on her own as a private investigator, one who has learned that coincidences are meaningful, and truth elusive.

The storyline was a little shallow, but lighthearted and a great quick listen. The way the narrator granted at the end of every sentence made it very hard to listen to.

Historia
It started with her estranged father's murder. The last thing LA detective Gabby Woodward needed was the custody of her entitled half-brother. She was jaded and overworked. A nurturing soul she was not. And he was a reminder of him. Her ex-husband. The man who crushed her heart and trampled on her love. Ex-mercenary Declan Roarke had hit rock bottom. His new assignment mentoring teen actors was the gateway to hell, putting him near his ex-wife. Working together exposes feelings for each other that never died. It also uncovers the conspiracy that tore them apart.

Great story
Revisado: 03-27-22
The story was very good and kept it interesting. The narrator was a little too breathless at the end of her sentences, which got old after a while. The bedroom descriptions were overdone and dragged on. Had to fast forward through them.
Despite that, its very easy to look forward to the next one in the series.
