Historia
In my book, you will meet a little girl named Viola who ran from her past until she made a life-changing decision to stop running forever. This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose but also my voice in a world that didn’t always see me.

Amazing Story of Survival and Success
Revisado: 06-29-22
This story truly made me feel Viola's pain in a world of abuse and alcohol and being black in America and happiness in her courage to survive and become a huge success in life.
Viola Davis is a wonderful narrator and engaging to listen to.
I enjoyed listening to the story of her life. It is meaningful, sad but in the end, happy and I applaud and thank Miss Davis for writing it.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.
