Historia
While Eve examines a fresh body in Washington Square Park, her husband, Roarke, spots a man among the onlookers he’s known since his younger days on the streets of Dublin. A man who claims to be his half brother. A man who kills for a living - and who burns with hatred for him. Eve is quick to suspect that the victim’s spouse - resentful over his wife’s affair and poised to inherit her fortune - would have happily paid an assassin to do his dirty work. Roarke is just as quick to warn her that if Lorcan Cobbe is the hitman, she needs to be careful.

another great Eve Dallas story

I enjoy JD Robb. the story is good but what really makes it for me is the narrator's take on story and characters. she does an amazing job with accents and truly brings Robb's characters to life.

Historia
When a peculiar letter arrives inviting Armand Gamache to an abandoned farmhouse, the former head of the Sûreté du Québec discovers that a complete stranger has named him one of the executors of her will. Still on suspension, and frankly curious, Gamache accepts and soon learns that the other two executors are Myrna Landers, the bookseller from Three Pines, and a young builder. None of them had ever met the elderly woman. The will is so odd and includes bequests that are so wildly unlikely that Gamache and the others suspect the woman must have been delusional.

Another Triumph for Gamache and Company
Revisado: 12-05-18
Louise Penny has written another terrific , edge of the seat mystery laced with deep eddys of dRk and light. These books are Never just about the mystery
the author invites us into people's lives
why do people do the things they do? What drives someone to murder? The regular cast of characters appears and their lives are moving forward.
whole I love the book, I am a bit disappointed in the narration. It lacks the power of the story and comes off as bland in some places. As if the narrator cannot rouse himself to let the listener "feel" the emotions in the story

But now Lillian herself is dead. Found among the bleeding hearts and lilacs of Clara Morrow's garden in Three Pines, shattering the celebrations of Clara's solo show at the famed Musée in Montreal. Chief Inspector Gamache, the head of homicide at the Sûreté du Québec, is called to the tiny Quebec village and there he finds the art world gathered, and with it a world of shading and nuance, a world of shadow and light. Where nothing is as it seems. Behind every smile there lurks a sneer. Inside every sweet relationship there hides a broken heart.

It's been a long dry spell. and, while I love the collaboration between Cussler and DeBrul, it's great to re-enter Phillips Mercer's world. Great story with perfect amount of edge of your seat action. The narrator brought the characters to life and has a great vocal range.

Jack West does it again
Revisado: 04-24-16
Reilly ' Jack West trilogy is loads of action to keep the reader interested. good characters that are for the most part well written. The author is a bit over the top sometimes in the blood and gore department but the story is compelling enough to make you want to go on and finish.
Narrator: Pretty good but female voices would benefit from practice or, a woman. I wish the producers of books with strong female characters would just get a woman to read them.
