Terrifically bizarre yet quite familiar

We all know that Brandon Sanderson is a genius. And those who disagree are welcome to their opinions always. After listening/reading this book, I now feel given a gift: a bit of a peek into his inner world. I often wondered how anyone could produce the worlds he has. I think that now I can look out through his eyes and see a vast, primordial ooze of possibilities. What a gift. Thanks for all you’ve lived through to find and produce such And it warmed my heart to hear the names of all the people in your “ real” life that support and love you.
I cried at the end of the final story for both the grief and loss suffered and the hope. Wonderful.

the mercenary leader-reluctant leader-Ragnarson gets pulled into battle after battle, the final one for a queen’s kingdom that’s falling apart after her husbands death.
Spoiler alert-The Dread Empire is at work behind the scenes. Kids switched for changelings, yet heirs on both “sides”(it gets confusing) end up assassinated. It seemed to me that there were many names of people, of towns, of leaders, and other sundry characters – all of which get thrown around throughout the book. Timelines switched around, along with allegiances. I believe I got the gist of the story, But I was glad that the story ended so I could move on-and hopefully get some clarity with the third in the sequence. I love Glen Cook, however the Black Company series was much more satisfying, albeit they were written after these books.
