Historia
Five days ago, the epidemic of rage began. Four days ago, the rash of senseless murders swept the nation. Three days ago, the president addressed the country and begged for peace—even as the murders increased tenfold. Two days ago, the killers began to mobilize. One day ago, the power went out. And tonight, the killers are reading the names of those to be killed over the Emergency Broadcast System.

The Resilience of Family
Revisado: 01-17-25
I think this book was a great addition to Blake Crouch’s collection. While the circumstances surrounding the apocalyptic state of the world leave the reader a mystery, I think the true purpose of this book is to showcase the bond between spouses, and the incredible responsibility of having children. An ordinary couple goes to extraordinary lengths to protect each other, and their family. The children are forced to mature rapidly in a world that has seemingly gone to hell. This book explores, “How far would you go?”, “How much could you endure?”, beyond would-you-die-for-me, “Would you live for me? Would you survive for our family?” And, “What really matters in this world? What do I need to be happy?”
I can see how this title is different than his other novels, so some readers may not enjoy. I did quite like it personally, as I’m also someone who enjoys both scifi and horror books. If the same is true for you, give it a try!

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

A SciFi Masterpiece
Revisado: 06-11-24
This book, took my breath away. Incredible story, with more background information revealed to add depth to the plot as it goes on. When you meet a certain friendly character eventually, he will fill your heart! Captures the curiosity and stick-to-it-iveness scientists all aspire to keep. Explains scientific topics in digestible ways. Honestly, learned some concepts from this book as well! This is an adventure, that looks into what it means to be human, and what it means to be moral. Don’t pass this up!

A Crazier ‘Desperate Housewives’ vibe
Revisado: 06-11-24
This book is awesome! The story kept my jaw dropping. Imagine the feel of the craziest, most high stakes moments in desperate housewives. With expedient placed comedic relief, and characters you’ll love to hate and hate to love. Give it a listen! Great narration as well
