Gifted writing and best narration I have ever listened to
Revisado: 07-23-24
I have read this novel five times. It is the most mature and deeply expressive romantic lesbian novel I’ve read. Explains why sapphic love can be so beautiful.

In an era when everyone seems to hate everyone else, especially the LGBTQ+, our spirits need lifting and this book can do that. Yes, maybe the two lovers tell each other they love one another a little too often, but I thought the narration was fine. Why not frequent words of love than deviousness, betrayal, and meaningless sexuality?

Best lesbian romance writing ever
Revisado: 05-16-23
I am a huge fan of this author so it is not surprising her prose rises well above most all authors. As an older lesbian, even the thought of this relationship warms my heart on lonely nights.

Historia
Thursdays aren't simply another day of the week for Amy Spencer and Ellis Hall. Thursday afternoons sizzle with no-strings sex for the two women, who meet each week in a hotel room to forget their past - and their present. The arrangement works perfectly for Amy, a busy surgeon who's still smarting from a failed relationship. For Ellis, Thursday afternoons act as a pressure valve from her cutthroat job and mistakes in her personal life she's trying to rectify. Soon they discover that their outside worlds are on a collision course with the carefully constructed world they've created.

One Of The Best
Revisado: 07-04-22
I read many lesbian romances. This is one of my favorites because I left behind from high school years, my one true love because of my educational opportunities. My career goals were realized, but my romantic life, no. When young we all do the best we can but when it comes to love, the best we can do is often not good enough.

True to Life
Revisado: 04-18-22
The story realistically reflects what a true long term partnership between two women involves - ecstasy at times, hurt and trials endured and survived, an understanding that when you find the right best friend for life, with some hard work the marriage will endure forever. This type of love is a gift not frequently given to partners.

Historia
This audiobook is a restatement of the life and teachings of Jesus as recorded in the New Testament Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Like an earlier effort by Thomas Jefferson, who produced The Jefferson Bible in the early 1800s, its purpose is to distill from the scriptures only those verses truly portraying the life and teachings of Jesus. Each major event of his life is treated individually, and then arranged in chronological order. Thus, it presents the story of Jesus as it actually took place, from birth through death and resurrection.

Expected more commentary
Revisado: 07-27-21
I appreciated being reminded of Jesus teachings but more commentary as to their meaning would have been appreciated as well as to specific location within the New Testament where they are found.
