Historia
Current child-rearing techniques seek to develop children who are confident, self-assured, and unafraid to speak their minds-lions instead of lambs. Although largely positive, this shift has brought with it some very serious problems in our children's behavior. Without going back to an authoritarian model, Joe Newman has developed new ways of helping children develop the ability to self-regulate without undermining their confidence, and individuality.

Zero connection
Revisado: 01-25-25
Joe’s book is a framework of time outs, isolation and restraint. There is zero connection and understanding of the child and no background of why a child might be exhibiting challenging behaviors. It’s a blanket solution for children that are probably searching for connection. If you want a good parenting book that makes you want to strive for better and be a better human read Kim John Payne. Joe Newman has no qualifications to write a book on parenting. It’s appalling that anyone would implement his ideas in an educational setting. He has a masters in organizational management not psychology. His methods seem very harmful, especially for children who are on the spectrum or have experienced trauma. At a time when so many aspects of society are turning back on progress Joe Newman seems to fit right in.

So good
Revisado: 02-23-21
This book was so good! I did not want it to end. Like all Mimi Matthews books this was a totally captivating story full of suspenseful romance and just enough intrigue. This was the best book I have listened to in a long time.
