Historia
Charlie Hudson, an autistic 17-year-old, is determined to leave Sawyer, PA, as soon as she graduates high school - in the meantime, she works as many hours as she can at a sandwich shop called The Triple S to save money for college. But when shop owner Clay Cooper - a man who is both respected and feared by many in this economically depressed community - is found dead, each member of his staff becomes a suspect in the perplexing case. Charlie must work to protect herself and her friends, and uncover the danger that may still be at large in their tightknit community.

Love the flashback conversations during some chapters. Such a cool addition to the story and plot. Great knowledge of ASD and wonderful insight on how the main characters brain functions in a slightly different way than others.

If you’re like me and oftentimes get bored with a read, or are able to predict what happens next, this one’s for you. Kept my in my toes and intrigued after my last audiobook was disappointing. Great plot and knowledgeable writing about ASD/Asperger’s

Historia
No new people: that's Annie Mercer's vow. It's bad enough that her boss sabotaged her chemistry career and her best friend tried to cure her with crystals. But after her fiancé, Jon, asks for space while he's gallivanting around Paris, Annie decides she needs space too - from everyone. Yet when Harper moves in next door, Annie can't help but train a watchful eye on the glamorous but fragile young woman. And if keeping Harper safe requires teaming up with Mo, a maddeningly optimistic amateur detective, who is she to mind her own business?

Female Power
Revisado: 04-19-20
With all the craziness in the world, I wanted to read a book with meaning but one that would not make me bawl each time I listened. This was the perfect choice. Pagán kept my attention the entire time (which is not always easy for me), and opened my eyes in many ways. The female strength in this book is exactly what I needed to hear.
