Historia
An escaped convict with a false passport, Lin flees maximum security prison in Australia for the teeming streets of Bombay, where he can disappear. Accompanied by his guide and faithful friend, Prabaker, the two enter the city’s hidden society of beggars and gangsters, prostitutes and holy men, soldiers and actors, and Indians and exiles from other countries, who seek in this remarkable place what they cannot find elsewhere.

Probably the best performance I've listened to.

Arguably the best performance available on audible

This plays like an old school radio novella. Orson Wells would be proud!
The pace, cadence, multiple character voicings and passion really created an immersive experience for the listener. If they hadn’t had their own Foley operator for sound effects perhaps? But I think that would’ve been a step too far…
Overall, can’t wait to dive in again!!

Historia
This book is a collection of Jack London's short stories about his experiences sailing and seal hunting in the Pacific Ocean during the late 1800s. An additional adventure looks at life along the Sacramento River. A special section describes the different types of sailing vessels, and a glossary helps the listener understand nautical terms.

The narrator ruins it
Revisado: 04-27-20
Jack London is one of the most famous authors in modern literature. Call of the wild, white fang and many others to his credit.
This narrator sounds as if he’s reading the book for the first time at his “introduction to Toastmasters“ course
With a name like Jack London attached to this audiobook, I expected much, much more!
Producers… Figure it out!
