Finally something different and enchanting.
Revisado: 10-24-24
This reminds me of the 80’s movie Labyrinth but a bit darker, alluring and even whimsical all at the same time. Great story and performance.

Feyre has undergone more trials than one human woman can carry in her heart. Though she’s now been granted the powers and lifespan of the High Fae, she is haunted by her time Under the Mountain and the terrible deeds she performed to save the lives of Tamlin and his people. As her marriage to Tamlin approaches, Feyre’s hollowness and nightmares consume her. She finds herself split into two different people: one who upholds her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court, and one who lives out her life in the Spring Court with Tamlin.

Historia
Iris Hollow and her two older sisters are unquestionably strange. Ever since they disappeared on a suburban street in Scotland as children only to return a month a later with no memory of what happened to them, odd, eerie occurrences seem to follow in their wake. And they're changing. First, their dark hair turned white. Then, their blue eyes slowly turned black. They have insatiable appetites yet never gain weight. People find them disturbingly intoxicating, unbearably beautiful, and inexplicably dangerous.

Chills, Fever and a Slow Burn
Revisado: 01-28-23
First, the narrator was phenomenal! The best performance I’ve ever heard and her British accent brought the story and characters to life.
As the for the story, it went beyond my expectations. I was unable to stop listening and was inspired to buy the hard cover book just to have a copy. It’s a dark fairy tale filled with addictive mysteries that will have you gripping on and unable to let go even in the end. You won’t be disappointed!

Historia
The Third Heiress. The tragic death of her fiance in a harrowing car accident plunges Jill Gallagher into a dark mystery. His final words to her: "I love you…Kate," force her to realize she neither truly knew this dashing British photographer, nor understood his true motives for being here in America. When she brings his body back to his English family, she enters a world of hostility, suspicion, and closely guarded secrets. Then she finds a century-old photograph of an American heiress named Kate Gallagher who looks remarkably like herself-and who disappeared nearly a century ago.

Intriguing from beginning to end.

I read this book when it first came out. It is still one of the best mystery, romance and historical fiction book I've ever read and now listened to. The best book by Brenda Joyce and I highly recommend.

Historia
Another shockingly suspenseful installment in #1 New York Times best-selling author Karen Marie Moning's Fever series. Burned picks up right where the surprising conclusion of Iced left off, and will feature beloved characters Mac and Dani O'Malley as they embark on another high-octane adventure in the Fever world.

Keep Fever going!
Revisado: 02-05-15
First all readers should be familiar with the Fever series to get what's going on in this book.
So I love all the Fever series which is Mackayla aka Mac Lane's story. Iced and Burned I thought is the spin off or continuation of Danny "Mega" O'Malley's story. However Burned seems centered on Mac. Danny's "voice" was rarely heard. It's like the Fever series from Mac's view continued and Danny's story or point of view was just dropped from the series. I would have preferred the story mainly focused oh her like in Iced and what she went through instead of Mac.
Overall for Burned it was addicting, creative characters/plot and well written but it was a short book. Even though while reading a lot was going to keep interest but at the end you'll realized not much really happened. Still, if you are a Fever fan you'll like this book.
