I love the series but this one not as much.

I enjoyed the characters and the storylines in this series. The author has created an engaging world with memorable characters, and I appreciate the unique details, like the protagonist being a vegan and Dorianhad been a a chef for blind people. However, as much as I love the series, I found it frustrating that each character's backstory is rehashed in every book. While this might be helpful for new readers, it becomes repetitive for those reading the series in order. Including this information in an appendix, prologue, or a brief recap would be a better alternative. It would keep the narrative fresh while still accommodating new readers. Despite this, the series overall is still worth a read!

Struggle to finish the book. I've read other books from this author and enjoyed those books. This book was very hard to read because of the characters and plot. I also didn't understand why she chose to have so much cursing in this book it seemed overused.
