I loved this book! I’m an American that lived in Singapore for a decade. The story is set along the streets and locations that was familiar to me. I could visualize the story as it was being revealed. I was disappointed when the story ended as I am with most good books. I recommend this book!!

A human story .. warts and all

This story was a little different from what I expected but it turned out to be an excellent listen. As it turned out this could be every man’s story if it’s worth retelling. This story was about a man’s career in law enforcement which to me was very interesting and sometimes exciting.

The old is new again

I first bought this audio as a “book on tape” to listen to while traveling in the car but just never got around to listening to it. Now over 10 years later I’ve finally got to hear the story. It is a great story of young men who performed as no others have since. I sincerely recommend this book.

Some stories never get old

I first read this book while I was in high school in the early 1960’s as I was fascinated with such stories about the second world war. My uncle flew the same type of plane and was shot down in Tunisia in February of 1943. He spent the remainder of the war as a POW. He never discussed his experiences with me so I found this book to be an insight into what his life might have been during that time frame. I highly recommend this book.

I found that this story was a 360 degree look at the air war over Europe and North Africa. It takes two to tangle and in this book you get a good look at both sides of this human story.
