interesting concept

I was really excited to read this because the concept of " the one" is so intriguing. what I didn't like was that it's heavily sprinkled with soft core porn. I almost stopped listening because of it but continued on anyway because it really is a good story.

It started out very strong and I was interested but I found after that there was zero excitement, nothing I was eagerly wanting to find out. It's written more like a diary of mundaneness in the narrators head. The narrator did amazing though it's the only reason I listened to what I did. I quit with 2.5 hours left.

I was truly shocked by the ending and looked forward to listening to this every time I had to pause for awhile. There were some overly descriptive parts ( re: sexual assault)I really could have did without but otherwise lovedit.

the narration was a little annoying, I think it's the theatrical inflections. The storyline is a stretch and I wasn't connecting or caring about the main character. The word blinding was used way to much. I quit listening with over 2 hours left

I couldn't finish it

I read something in the water by this author and liked it so I tried another one and was disappointed. It took way too long to develop the characters and get into the interesting part of the story and then I found it to be a bit of a stretch. I quit listening with an hour and 45 minutes left. She's an excellent narrator for sure though!
