Not for cozy fans anymore...
Revisado: 09-19-17
What disappointed you about A Panicked Premonition?
Victoria Laurie did not ever, or very rarely, put foul language in her books. She was one of my favorite cozy mystery fans. Not any more. A Panicked Premonition was full of foul language. I couldn't get but half way through the book.
What could Victoria Laurie have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Leave the "f" language out. Maybe I could have stood the "s" language quite a bit less too.
Which character – as performed by Elizabeth Michaels – was your favorite?
I liked them all.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment.

Historia
A Catskills resort's production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet takes a wickedly ironic turn when the leading lady, Lauren Richmond, is first poisoned and then stabbed. Who would extinguish the life of such a beautiful young thespian? It seems like just about everyone had a motive to pull the ropes on her final curtain call. At the center of this Shakespearean tragedy is Charlotte Fairfax, formerly the costume mistress of the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Confusing and not for me...
Revisado: 02-05-16
What disappointed you about Untimely Death?
I really couldn't get very far because of the narrator and because so many characters were introduced all together. I couldn't follow. Not for me.

Historia
The indomitable Amelia Peabody and her husband, known to many as "the Father of Curses", are into archaeology and mischief again. This third in the series brings the reader once more into Egypt and the shady world of black market antiquities. The winter excavation season has hardly yet begun when Amelia stumbles onto what looks suspiciously like a ring of thieves.

Very engaging
Revisado: 03-19-12
What made the experience of listening to The Mummy Case the most enjoyable?
Mystery, romance and intrigue. Wonderfully written and produced entertainment for light reading.
What other book might you compare The Mummy Case to and why?
Aunt Dimity Mysteries for anyone who wants to avoid steamy sex, drugs and fowl language.
What does Barbara Rosenblat bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Great ability to voice the different characters.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. I enjoy listening for a while and then picking it up again. The voices are memorable and the story is easy to pick up anytime.
Any additional comments?
I've read many of Elizabeth Pete's Peabody novels and love them.
