My Daughters Favorite Book

This is my daughters fav book. I wanted to listen to it to see the hype and why she loved it so much. This book and author has made my child fall in love with poetry. Thank you Elizabeth Acevedo. This book seems to be suited for audio. I'm really glad I listened, it makes the Poetry Jam night such an experience! Its like the first book I've ever read that actually portrayed what it's like to be a beautiful girl in high school, it's not all rainbows and sunshine.

Tijan made me fall in love with the characters in Crew and re-fall in love with them in this book. I love how he got a voice in this book. I loved the rawness of it all. I cant wait to see what happens with these 4 next.

I loved the characters. ALL of them. The author did a great job of taking you thru the story. She also made you fall in love with bad guy and then made you want to tell the good girl to "get your head on right girl go get that man". The book over all was wonderful from the start to the end. Thank you Susannah Nix for making fall in love with your characters with every page turn.
