Historia
A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Historia
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Did not like the change in narrator
Revisado: 02-11-23
The previous narrator nailed all the characters' voices and emphasized the sentences correctly and pronounced words correctly. The new narrator is awful.

Wonderful book, performance could be better
Revisado: 04-14-20
I absolutely loved this story and how it was written. I look forward to more books by this author. Although I loved the Scottish accent on the dialog, I thought the audio reading of it seemed rushed Sentences, perhaps even paragraphs, were at times so jammed together that they seemed a continuation of a sentence, and thus momentarily confusing. Too much of it was sing song, sentences ending in the same cadence, not following their meaning. It became irritating, not the least because it could have been prevented with a little care.

I was gripped by this story from the beginning, all the way through. A plus , it was from the perspective of Italy, whose world war 2 history I knew little about.
