Historia
For the past five years, Ryan Richardson has relived that terrible night. The car door ripping open. The crushing blow to the head. The hands yanking him from the vehicle. His girlfriend Ali’s piercing scream as she is taken. With no trace of Ali or the car, a cloud of suspicion hangs over Ryan. But with no proof and a good lawyer, he’s never charged, though that doesn’t matter to the podcasters and internet trolls. Now, Ryan has changed his last name, and entered law school. He's put his past behind him. Until, on a summer trip abroad to Italy, Ryan gets a call from his father.

Unbelievable storyline
Revisado: 11-28-24
Started out good, but became a ridiculous story. Unbelievable the main character could just happen to find the girl across Europe “ accidentally “ years later . Wrecked it for me personally

After using the family business, the single largest employer in his small Louisiana town, to embezzle millions and drain the employees' retirement accounts, Owen's father vanished without a trace, leaving Owen and his mother to deal with the fallout. Owen returns to Lake Cane to finish his senior year, where people he hardly remembers despise him for his father's crimes.

The narrator was confusing his voices
Revisado: 09-22-24
I actually thought it was a very good book. The only thing I found annoying was the narrator was mixing up the voices during the read. The voices were fine except I think he lost his place too many times.

After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

Worst book I have read in years
Revisado: 06-24-24
I saw that this Karin Slaughter book was rated 4.8. Well, I was so wrong about buying it based on that. I couldn't wait to finish it. Not because it was intriguing , but because it was absolutely horrible. From start to finish it was unbelievable, tough to follow and in my opinion an absolutely ludicrous story line. I found the narration just as poor, and it felt like I was having dental work done . This will be my first and last Wil Trent book.

New York book editor Maris Matherly-Reed knows a best seller when she sees one - even if it is just a tantalizing partial manuscript submitted by a writer identified only as P.M.E., with the return address of an obscure island off the Georgia coast. Maris is intrigued enough to search for him.

Characters were unbelievable , almost comical
Revisado: 10-06-22
This one had potential but the characters, especially Noah were just too unbelievable. It started slow, but picked up. The ending was just ridiculous. No one would ever be intimidated by the things Noah used to justify his actions. Without ruining the story, the part of Nazi past and suicide, the boating incident, aftermath, and the part of Maris father's demise were just farfetched and ruined it for me

Had a decent storyline, but some parts were unbelievable, almost ridiculous. The narrator made all the characters sound the same and at times you couldn’t tell who was speaking. I enjoyed it, but the ending was not the best.

One of the worst books I ever read on Audible
Revisado: 09-18-21
I couldn’t wait to find finish this book, but for the wrong reasons. Not because it was enjoyable, but so I could return it.
I found the story line poor, even ridiculous and unbelievable at times. I tried hard to like it but even the narration voices of some characters were annoying . Speaking of characters, it just didn’t work for me. After a while they grated on my nerves. Normally a Nora Robert’s fan, but this one stunk.
