Great Narratorion of a Great Book

This was excellent narration. it captured the Victorian verve with a modern sensibility. I prefer the updated version of the book too, so this is the go-to for Frankenstein!

A Vulgar Monkey with a Heart of Gold and Limited Free Will

Chadwick writes with 90% dark humor and 10% heart in this title. It was difficult to stop listening at times. His characters are engaging and the plot moves along at break-neck speed.
To be sure, this is an incredibly vulgar story. Not normally my jam, but in this book... it works.
The narration fits the tale perfectly. Wolf captures the feel of the novel perfectly.

Amazing Story with Spectacular Narration

The story takes some time to build interest, but once it does the novel takes off! The story and characters are excellent. The narration really elevates the entire book!

The Book Improved the Movie!

The prequel story to K.T. at the end was a welcomed surprise and well told.
I heard that the Bloodshot film received extensive revision at a late point. This novel manages those changes well, and seems to have left in a little hint of Psiots about 2/3 of the way through the story. Great writing and great voice acting.

A Legendary Love Story

VanArendonk Baugh, like her protagonist, weaves together Greek and Norse myths to creat a unique and engaging story. As a minor student of both myths I was delighted how this new myth she created felt like an old one from the Sagas.

This story has all the mystery, intruige, action, and (a bit more) romance of the old myths, told with contemporary excellence.

Great Story that's Hard to Define

I became familiar with Dave Chadwick through the True Blue Riffcast and Twitter. Despite all that I still went ahead to give Son of Santa a whirl.
This is a really good story (not for kids), but it's hard to define. At times it's a lighthearted comedy, but then it frequently dips into dark comedy. There's genuine drama in Son of Santa alongside deeper truths. I also appreciate that Chadwick's writing doesn't venture into predictable troupes - the story and characters are wholley original.

Colette Thomas does an extraordinary job narrating (I'm an award winning audio producer). She captures the essence of the tale.

I am really hoping we get a sequel. Soon.
No later than next Christmas.
