The plot and storyline were very good, and up to a point, I reallly enjoyed this book. However, after Shane & Rachel start talking again, the quality goes straight downhill. VERY graphic sexual descriptions, and the last several chapters contain innumerable dropping of the "f" bomb - by both characters. The narration by Alexander Cendese was decent, but I didn't care for Alexandra Shawnee's performance at all.

Not much about the Clintons - save your points!

I was very disappointed in this book - Mr. Byrne wrote mostly about his career ups & downs - and very little about the Clintons. The content about them probably amounted to MAYBE a chapter.

Poor sound quality on this one.

I've listened to the previous books in this series narrated by Barbara Rosenblat, and they were good. However, this one had VERY poor sound quality - I could hear every time she swallowed or re-positioned her mouth. Also, at the end of each chapter, she can be heard taking a deep breath 2 or 3 seconds before announcing the next chapter. I'm hopeful the next books will have better sound quality & won't be as distracting as this one was.

Thinly disguised porn!

Plot is all but non-existent except for the nearly nonstop bed scenes. The narration sounds like a very low budget porn movie - sound effects and all. The narrator has a terrible "little girl" voice. If she's going to do this for a living, she needs voice coaching so she sounds more like an adult. I was very disappointed in this book, and returned it before I was halfway through it.

Narrator has VERY irritating voice!

Book is OK - storyline is standard Lincoln Rhyme. I would have given a higher rating but for the narrator. This is the first book I've heard him do, but his voice really got on my nerves!

Love L. J. Sellers and Damon Abdallah!

Another great book from Sellers! Loved the story and the narrator was wonderful. Damon Abdallah is SOOO much better than Patrick Lawlor. His voice is clear and his characterizations are very good as well.

Find a new narrator!!!

As always, the story line is wonderful, and the writing is great. The only problem with this book is the narrator - I didn't like his voice at all - he constantly sounds as though he needs to clear his throat. His vocal characterizations leave a great deal to be desired as well. But for the narrator, I would have given this book 5 stars for overall instead of just 3.

Enough with the sound effects already!

story was great (as always), but I HATED THE SOUND EFFECTS - the spookymusic(?) in the background - and especially the various characters sobbing and crying! I would much prefer just a simple narration - it doesn't need to sound like a radio melodrama!
