Fabulous book!

Shane and Ilia are great characters. I was really upset when I finished book one of the series. It didn't feel like their story was over. This book is a great epilogue to book 1.

This book is good. Some of the storylines are completed, others are not. Five stars for Isaac and Edward’s story. Five stars for Arthur’s story. One star for Alex’s unfinished story. One star for Victoria’s unfinished story.
The author tried to flesh out the auxiliary characters too much. One becomes very involved with them and it is jarring that they don’t get their HEA.

I read these as a pre-teen many years ago. I loved them and was delighted to find some available “on-tape.” I’d love to find more of them.

Good book, but major mistakes

I throughly enjoyed this book! The characters are charismatic and fun.
I really wish that the author had done some research on the British Royal Family. In the book, Prince Henry is the youngest son of the Princess that is heir to the throne (I believe, but it is never discussed.) Alex asks Henry if he has a last name? The response “Henry George Edward James Fox-Mountchristian-Windsor.” He then says that “In school, we all went by Wales. This implies that his mother Princess Catherine is titled Princess Catherine, Princess of Wales. Female heirs have never been investitured, but that’s okay! It’s fictional! However Henry is called the Prince of Wales once or twice. That is a title that only the heir apparent uses (and only after having been investitured.)
The author was extremely lazy naming the Royal Family. There is Phillip, Henry, Beatrice, Catherine and Queen Mary, and their last name is extremely close to Mountbatten-Windsor. And Phillip and his new bride, Martha (actual new name!) live at Anmer Hall! Absolutely no imagination!
In one chapter Henry is called a (or the) Monarch. The Queen or King is the only Monarch!
The narrator is quite good; but he pronounces the name of the road that runs up to Buckingham Palace wrong. It’s the Mall. The word rhymes with pal.
If one can turn off their need to have correct facts, it’s a great book!
Lots of fun! I suspect that my daughter and I will listen to it again. We were really stupid and started it around 9pm. We stayed up all night! It’s that good.
Sorry to be so nitpicky! I majored in History at University of London.

Fabulous addition to a marvelous series

My daughter and I absolutely adore this series! This is a fun addition to a chaotically raucous series. The Vanderbeeker children are probably my favorite family of mischievous, irrepressible children! They are funny and well fleshed out. Mom and dad are not the typical bumbling parents.
I give it only four stars for the overall book because of the slipshod job done by the book’s editor. There are several mistakes that jumped out at me. Things that should have been picked up.
I highly recommend this recording, you will be laughing out loud!

Well written and funny

Very well written and extremely funny. Anyone that has watched The Bachelor will totally get it! The actors are good and seem to be having fun.
Highly recommended if one wants a fun escape . A great listen while you are wrapping your holiday gifts!

I want more!

This was free and short, so I thought okay, we’ll try it. I’m so happy that we did!
The performance is great, the cast is wonderful! I’d be happy to pay to see the movie!
It is everything that I like. Romantic and fun. It’s a great Christmas romcom.
I need a part two! Give us more!!!!

Highly abridged!

The stories are extremely abridged! Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is only 1 hour and 6 minutes long. Charlie finds the ticket 16 minutes into the reading. I’m horrified that Mr. Dahl was willing to read this out loud! We stopped listening after the one book. This is only worth buying if you really need to hear Mr. Dahl read.
I heartily do recommend the readings of both of the Charlie books by Eric Idle. They are hysterically funny.
