I needed this book!
Revisado: 02-13-23
I'm glad it is available on audio as I buy books but never get thru them.
I got diagnosed last year at the age of 52. It's been a roller coaster of emotions. Have listened to lots of podcasts but this book helped me uncover behaviors in a linear way. I felt Bette ran out myself as I look back at last "failures" and realized I didn't know my brain works differently. Lots of ideas to digest but it's mentioned many times to pick just a few things. I know not all the tips will work for me but it's about experimenting.

I don't give away these 5 stars to just any book! Excellent proof of how to change mindset of caring for your body. Not buying into the next diet fad. I have worked thru Intentional Eating and HAES workbooks and this is another tool to add. I like Katy's humor, examples and being truthful about the efforts it takes to undo the negative talk about being happier if we changed so many things about our bodies. It's been a journey for me with eating, exercise & loving kindness.
