Liz is so clearly autistic. I’m here for representation (whether intended or not) but from an autistic woman’s perspective, some of the “romantic” scenes were just her boundaries and needs not being respected or taken seriously. And I’m not a fan of that. I don’t know if Liz was intentionally coded as autistic, but she is. Socially awkward nerd that needs routine, takes things literally, needs alone time, was a gifted child, and has “panic attacks “, with a narcissist mother, hah! And she quotes Star Trek and needs to look up the social etiquette of a bbq before going … come on. Anyways, I didn’t find some of the scenes to be romantic, I found them tilting towards ableist. Looking past that the story was entertaining, but I wasn’t in love with the love interest.

Also champagne is deadly to dogs… you literally killed the dog at the end. Grapes are one of the worst things dogs can have, and alcohol is equally as deadly to them. Liz would have known that.

Give it a shot, well worth it

The first 10 minutes I was unsure if I would like it, idk if it was the narrator or what. But I stuck it out and boy am I glad that I did. I ended up loving the narrator and the story. I’m hooked and will be reading all the sequels. Sooooo good.

Sexist and ignorant

The author clearly has no idea what it means to be trans. Trans women are not just men who dress like women. She is clearly stuck in the 1950s in terms of gender roles. Men can't use makeup or be interested in it? The way the characters go on and on about how ____ isn't for men, so shocking trans women want makeup because they are actually men. All while trying to come off so 'modern' and okay with it all... This book reads very "I'm not racist, I have a black friend " I can't with it.

I didn't think I was going to like this for the first few chapters but by the middle of the book I was hooked. It ended up being so funny and I cant get enough of the guys. I will be getting the next books in the series for sure.

a bit forced

love love love this series but this one felt a bit forced..... she goes from "hell no" to "mate me" way too fast. I still enjoyed it but..... ehhh, a bit dissapointed. That being said, I can't wait for the next book .

So good! For the first time in a long time the heroine is actually strong, independent and ass kicking. In so many other books the woman says she is tough but then acts like an idiot crybaby who can't do shit for herself. Sophie doesn't take shit from anyone and holds her own, she also cusses like a sailor and I love it! I can't wait for more in this series.

This book lost a star just because of how idiotic April is. Reno is awesome but April is a bleeping idiot. First of all go to the police, second of all if you won't do that just be honest for once and tell Reno about both men after you, not just one of them. I haven't finished this yet but I'm hoping she dies at the end just out of anger for her stupidity. seriously if anyone can help, Reno can ... but no just think about becoming a pet for some Jack off instead of asking for help..... uhhhhhggggg
