Historia
Brian Pennie shouldn’t be alive today. His drug addiction was so bad that he was deemed too much of a risk for detox. Determined to confront his demons, he went cold turkey at home. On 8 October 2013, he was finally clean after 15 years of heroin addiction and something extraordinary happened: the world suddenly became beautiful. Given a second chance at life, he devoured every minute of it. Bit by bit he rebuilt his world, returning to university to study neuroscience in a bid to understand the source of his suffering.

Fantastic and inspiring!

This book was just so...much - in a great way. First of all, the narrator was awesome. My internal voice had an Irish accent weeks after I finished the book - and I'm Jamaican lol. Secondly, Brian's story is just incredible. I'm really glad he survived his addiction, and very glad he decided to share his life with the world.

Historia
The unforgiving Afghan winter settled upon the 22 men of Marine Special Operations Team 8222, call sign Dagger 22, in the remote and hostile river valley of Bala Murghab, Afghanistan. The Taliban fighters in the region would have liked nothing more than to once again go dormant and rest until the new spring fighting season began. No chance of that - this winter would be different.

The narrator was great - sound effects and all. I'm sorry about the men who died. Nobody truly understands war except those who fight in it. I pray those who survived find peace.
