Degenerate
Revisado: 01-27-25
Everything about this book was awful. The cruelty showcase throughout the book by the antagonist was terrible, and the performance of the female narrator use the same voice for all women and the way she characterized it was they appeared to be essentially mentally deficient four, all of the female voices. I could not recommend this book to anyone other than to throw it out.

A triple home run
Revisado: 11-15-23
Everything about this book is super. It has kept me engaged from the first minute on the narrator is such a great match for the main character. The story is extremely well written. So overall it is definitely a five star.

I really found it too boring. I stayed in through the end but it was just a long slug of people flying around trying to raise $100 million.

From 1915 to 1970, this exodus of almost six million people changed the face of America. Wilkerson compares this epic migration to the migrations of other peoples in history. She interviewed more than a thousand people, and gained access to new data and official records, to write this definitive and vividly dramatic account of how these American journeys unfolded, altering our cities, our country, and ourselves.

I really enjoyed the book and the development of the characters. But it left me feeling the autjhor either got board and decided to endit abruptly or it was the first book in a series. It certainly left we wanting to know what happend to the various charaters.

The Blessing of First Love
Revisado: 01-29-19
I am a 70 year old baby boomer and I found this to be so beautifully written. It also made me realize how fortunate I was to have married my high school sweet heart. The struggle of lining one’s life with the memory of that first love and comparing to the second love seems tortuous. The author captures the challenge of pursuing your life’s passion at the expense of love.

Bring Back the Old Narrator
Revisado: 05-17-18
I love Lescroart's Hardy series, but this one suffers from the lack of his regular narrator. The voice for the characters, other than Hunt, are annoying and Lt Glitski sound awlful.

Historia
Bennie Rosato, Mary DiNunzio, Judy Carrier, and Anne Murphy are back with all cylinders firing in Accused. Mary Dinuzio has just been promoted to partner and is about to take on her most unusual case yet, brought to the firm by a thirteen-year-old genius with a penchant for beekeeping. Allegra Gardner's sister Fiona was murdered six years ago, and it seemed like an open-and-shut case: the accused, Lonnie Stall, was seen fleeing the scene; his blood was on Fiona and her blood was on him; most damningly, Lonnie Stall pleaded guilty.

Performance A Bit Annoying
Revisado: 05-17-18
The main character's father is hard of hearing so everytime he speaks he is yelling which is annoyingly too loud. The dialogue between the parents and the main character really seem out dated. Like maybe the author is remembering her parents from moer than 50 years ago.
