A hauntingly beautiful story.
Revisado: 11-15-24
The characters were beautifully written, both haunted by the past. What a wonderful read. I don't usually post reviews, but this one touched my heart.

My most memorable book this year!
Revisado: 07-25-24
Everything about it was wonderful, deeply personal and emotional. I wish every book touched me as much as this one did and was as well done as this one was. You won't be sorry if you read it!

I really came to like the characters.
Revisado: 12-01-23
I don't write reviews very often but I really enjoyed this book. There was a lot of trauma that these young people went through, and I can relate to some of that.
It was just an unusual setting, and some unusual characters. Nothing deep or earth-shattering, just an easy read!
And it doesn't hurt that I really love this narrator! She is very sweet!

Historia
On a warm spring evening, guests gather in a perfectly manicured garden to celebrate Maggie and Len’s twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. Maggie leans against the apple tree, watching her fun-loving husband and darling children as her heart swells with pride. As the joyful party atmosphere disappears into the night, close by, the lifeless body of a young woman is pulled from a river. Slipping upstairs to find the special gift for her adoring husband, Maggie stumbles across something else hidden amongst the dusty boxes of family keepsakes.

Maggie has problems!
Revisado: 11-23-23
I really wanted to like this story, but I'm almost halfway through and I'm not sure I can finish it. I don't understand why this woman, Maggie, doesn't just ask her husband about all these things she's finding. She just assumes it's all bad, about him, and he's a murderer! That makes no sense when they've had a perfect marriage all these years. I'm sorry, I've been through menopause, and it didn't make me delusional and suspicious and paranoid! That appears to be the reason for her behavior, but it's just not believable in any way. it's too bad, because this could have been a fun, interesting story. Now is just too crazy for me to believe.

Historia
In October 2014, after Chris Regan failed to arrive at his new job, his ex-girlfriend filed a missing-person report. Something was off. When local Michigan police chief Laura Frizzo learned Chris was having an affair with Kelly Cochran, a married coworker, suspicion fell on her husband, Jason. After a search warrant on their house revealed several suspicious items, the Cochrans abruptly moved to Indiana. As questions swirled around the case, the whereabouts of Chris Regan remained unknown.

Wonderful!
Revisado: 05-18-21
I'm not a book critic by any means but I enjoyed this book from the beginning to the very end. Almost immediately I was caught up into the world of gods and Men and rarely turned it off. The narrator was wonderful and the story was intriguing. I can't wait to read more by this author and hear more books read by the narrator! Don't hesitate to listen to this audiobook!

Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

Wonderful bed partner!!
Revisado: 03-17-20
I loved this book. I listened to it every night in bed. This insomniac was able to fall asleep, mesmerized by the storyteller's wonderful narrative. I've slept better while listening than I have in years. I don't mean it to sound as if it was boring, but for me listening to the story and imagining every part of every chapter was so relaxing and took my mind away from all the day's worries. I'm hooked, I'll be here every night as I listen to the rest of these incredible stories. Goodbye Discovery ID!
