I love the work of Mr. Reynolds. But I didn't think I'd come away from a book being such a fan of Harry Myers, the performer. I've never been brought to tears before by an audiobook. Now I look for the work of both Alistair Reynolds and Mr. Myers.

Unpredictable and Highly Recommended

I'm very old and I've been reading fiction all my life. Lately I've been able to say: oh, this book will end this or that way. I'm always right.
Not so with Cold Cold Ground. Yes, it's a mystery. But it was unpredictable in the best way. I'm jumping right into the next in the series. Highly recommended.

This is a fun take on one of my favorite bands. Mr. Paone takes the goofiness of a concept album and distills it into a sensible narrative, but it's still full of references and nods to Electric Light Orchestra. Excellent!

Lovecraft was great. These authors have had their own successes and take his ideas even higher. I was expecting a tribute book. I wasn't expecting Lovecraft's ideas amped up into overdrive. Well done!
