My first Audible Original

This is the first Audible Original book I’ve listened to and I was happily surprised. Good although the ending became evident too early to be a surprise, the solutions were very believable. I wasn’t too enthusiastic about the narration but it’s now 2:40 am and I have just finished listening. Didn’t want to stop in the middle! Good ghost story

I’m a real Eve Dallas fan — read every book as it comes out. Usually I listen to books as I go to sleep and miss a chunk so have to back. I deliberately didn’t do that with this book and hearing it straight thru was a rare and chilling treat. Even had to tell my hub to be quiet as I got to the end ( I listen on Bluetooth). Thanks for a great story and thanks too for toning downing all the sex scenes I usually skip these. I get it the the most handsome man rich man and his kick- ass wife probably have a good sex life but I’m really tired of having it in so much detail I GET it! It’s much more titillating to hear their innuendos and shows is affection in public. Also makes Eve seem like a more real person

Thoughts on narration

I have not had any reason to dislike any narration from any of the books I have heard here or on any other audiobook sites. This narrator was very good. But I find that I developed some bias as to narration. I prefer an alto female voice to a higher pitch and I find that if the story includes voices from both genders, I prefer a female narrator to a male narrator. The best ,of course, is a narrator of each gender. I am wondering if others have such preferences? Of course a good story is good regardless but I find some narrations are easier to follow than others. As I listen primarily to novels this may predispose my perception and my intention is not to open a forum but to ask if others have certain “favorite” narrators along with “favorite” authors.

I'm Going toRead More!

This was the first Vince Flynn book I've ever "read", but it will not be the last. The main characters are really believable and personalities are mostly drawn without over exaggeration of capabilities. Of course the main character holds some 'super-hero' traits , but he, too, has feet of clay.

I believe I've found another series I can follow through all the books, and maybe sample other novels from the author. E
When I find a series I like I tend to listen over and over again. I hope this will be one of those series!

jd rabb at her best! loved the narrator's use of voices and especially Rourke irish lilt! Peabofy grts more realisic with every story. PLEASE don't stop giving us ,Eve Dallas!! She's my frosty fave!
