Historia
Feyre has undergone more trials than one human woman can carry in her heart. Though she’s now been granted the powers and lifespan of the High Fae, she is haunted by her time Under the Mountain and the terrible deeds she performed to save the lives of Tamlin and his people. As her marriage to Tamlin approaches, Feyre’s hollowness and nightmares consume her. She finds herself split into two different people: one who upholds her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court, and one who lives out her life in the Spring Court with Tamlin.

Couldn’t stop listening
Revisado: 04-14-25
This is not typically my genre. I was looking for something to read for free and came across book 1. Although I wasn’t crazy about the narration in book one, I found the story engaging enough to go for book two. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Recommend! Although the narrator is the same as in book one, the narration was significantly better in book 2.

Oy, the Narrator!
Revisado: 03-25-25
Wanted to stop so many times because the narrator’s rhythm and cadence were irksome. Her tone was flat yet she added a misplaced intonation at the end of her sentences. She had little ability to make the characters sound different. She was just all wrong for the story, which was engaging. I agree with the reviewers who said to read the book instead.

Tedious
Revisado: 11-02-23
A story about two damaged, troubled, lost, angry, depressed, anguished people who can’t seem to get it together. Their troubles go on and on. I found myself bored with them both. Surprised at how many positive reviews there are. Even the narrator sounded depressed.

Eh.
Revisado: 08-24-23
Surprised by all the 5 star ratings. I found it just okay. It was cute and funny in some spots, silly in others. Many predictable cliches. I never got invested in the characters and it took me a long time to finish it. After pushing through, it. just. ended. Which was really annoying. I wouldn't recommend using a credit for it.

Agree about the narrator, but…
Revisado: 12-29-22
She does sound like Siri; her inflections, especially at the ends of sentences, are off. But it did not stop me from listening as other narrators have. They have been but some books where I couldn’t even get through five minutes because of the narrator, for example, Water For Elephants. I enjoyed the story. Worth listening.

Revisado: 09-17-22
I rarely write reviews. I can’t imagine what possessed the producers to choice this narrator. His voice annoyed me immediately. I will read the book instead. Listen to the sample before you purchase.

W.T.H. Utterly frustrating that I wasted 10 hours of my life.
Revisado: 05-07-20
I have no idea what I just finished listening to. I kept waiting for the story to steer back to the man who stole another man’s identity. Instead, we end up on an 1800s Jamaican plantation with no sense of why we are there. If this had anything to do with the main character, that link was never made obvious. The plot kept switching between time periods and people I had never heard of before and I could not connect to one another. I don’t know why I hung on as long as I did, I guess I kept expecting to hear about Abel again, but I never did. Instead, the story ends up about three vampire like girls or shape shifters. Not sure which. I’m not even sure what the point of the whole story was. At one point, I checked to make sure I was listening to the same book that I had started. The people who gave this book good reviews must be friends of the author or the narrator. Some parts were impossible to understand because the narrator was using very heavy Jamaican accent. Without benefit of the written word as clues I couldn’t understand what he was talking about. I am completely dumbfounded and I’m going to return it.
