Historia
To Kord, witches are a necessary evil. They cast charms for good weather and crops, but otherwise they're best avoided. But when Kord succumbs to a love spell and starts yearning for a woman he's never met, he refuses to let magic control his destiny. He tracks down the witch responsible - only to discover she is the irresistible woman of his dreams. Like her mother and grandmother before her, Charmaine casts charms for a living. As a witch, she spends her life helping others, not being helped. So when her spells begin misfiring, she has nowhere to turn.

Fun Romantic Comedy
Revisado: 03-17-18
The Misspelled Charm was a fun short story. While listening, I could not help but think of it in modern day and as a Romantic Comedy. I think the story just lends itself to that Genre. I could picture the scenes in my head while listening and imagine the wacky things that could go wrong to drive the wedge further between the two main characters. The Cat, Justin, would be of great use in these moments. If you enjoy short romantic fiction with a some comedy thrown in, I would highly recommend this book.
The narration was well, for the most part. There were a few sections, when there were a lot of different characters speaking, that I had a little trouble telling who was talking. Beyond this, Shannon Condon did a great job.

Historia
Hammurabi Road is a dark redneck-noir novella of retribution, backwoods justice, and getting closer to a black bear than was ever dreamed possible. We start off with the eternal triangle - four men ride out in a pick-up truck; three in front and one duct-taped and bound in the back. It is a clear-cut case of Northern Ontario railroad vengeance, served up as cold as a frozen hunting knife. Fans of the movie and television series Fargo are going to love Hammurabi Road.

Hilarious Hi-jinks and great cast of characters
Revisado: 03-11-18
This book was amazing. Steve Vernon has done it once more. The characters felt real and there motivations for their actions were well defined. The adventures that take place are exquisitely hilarious and just this side of far fetched to be believed. First time, in my 25 years of listening to audio books, I have had to pull off the road to keep from wrecking because i was laughing so hard.
Robert Thaler's Performance was stellar. If there was ever a time that the narrator inhabited the mind of the characters, it is here. He not only brought the characters to life, he made it feel as though there was a hole group of narrators.

38 cubic tons of plesiosaurus and I threw it back!!!
Revisado: 02-26-18
Steve Vernon’s tales are always entertaining. He writes stories that are just the perfect blend of quirky character and The Twilight Zone. This particular story of the sea was fun because the characters were well developed. For being only 19minutes, this is no small feat.
At the heart of everyman lies regret and you can tell a lot about a man’s character by what he regrets. In the case of Harry, it is the loss of his son. Finding redemption/forgiveness is not easy. Sometimes it comes in the strangest of packages.
The narration was excellent as they always are with Vernon’s books.

Historia
Olan Walker was first out of the slat truck and he could have slid through one of the slats. That man was nothing but lank. He was as lean as a dog in Lent. He was as lean as hunger poured thinner than a spoon full of prison soup. He looked like he ate nothing but wind and shadow all his life. If there was a king and queen of skinny; a duke of raw bone, an earl of gaunt, and a prince of scrawny - well Olan Walker was the lord high ruler of them all.
