Historia
In To Try Men's Souls, Newt Gingrich and William R. Forstchen cast a new light on the year 1776 . Valley Forge picks up the narrative a year after Washington’s triumphant surprise attack on Trenton, and much has changed since then. It’s the winter of 1777, and Washington’s battered, demoralized army retreats from Philadelphia.

I thought I knew some history of the American Revolution. After listening to this great book I was interested from the first word to the last. The characters are very believable. Thank you for the great book. I am looking forward for more from this team of writers.

Good listen
Revisado: 08-12-09
I have read or listened to each and every book written by David Morrell. This was not a typical David Morrel story. It was more like a Dean Koontz.
I enjoyed it after I got over the fact it was not Dean Kontz but rather David Morrel. So yes I would recommend it.

Her car pulls up, she starts to get out, and the unthinkable happens: an assassination attempt right before their eyes. Ford engages, critically injuring one of the attackers, but the senator vanishes.

A bit different then others in the series
Revisado: 05-13-09
I was very pleased with the book. I laughed in parts as I listened to it. I thought it was well written and the book moved along nicely. I think the way all the various characters were brought together at the end in a great way. I was surpised at some of the connections.
Doc was Doc in the book.. with his glasses held with fishing line . Enjoy the book for what it is.
Good old fashion fun and a place to escape!

Top Form once more for Ted Bell
Revisado: 11-07-08
Ok, its a little far fetched how the bad guy wants to do in the good old free world. But Lord Hawke comes to meet this new threat head on. The cast of characters that support him as aways are there for him in time of need.
I finished hoping it will not be too much longer before Ted Bell gives us another Lord Hawke tale!

If you have enjoyed any of the other books in the series you will enjoy this one as well. The storyline is a bit far fetched but I enjoyed listening to this. Some of the minor characters are well defined and well used.
Enjoy!

I have never read/listened to this author. I decided to give it a try and would like to say it was an excellent book. I enjoyed it and would recommend it if you like WWII action type of stories. I thought the ending was super.

Historia
Gingrich and Forstchen's now critically-acclaimed approach, which they term "active history", examines how a change in but one decision might have profoundly altered American history. In Pearl Harbor they explored how history might have been changed if Admiral Yamamoto had directly led the attack on that fateful day, instead of remaining in Japan. Building on that promise, Days of Infamy starts minutes after the close of Pearl Harbor, as both sides react to the monumental events triggered by the presence of Admiral Yamamoto.

Historia
In lower Manhattan, a charnel pit of horror is uncovered: the remains of 36 people murdered and gruesomely dismembered over 130 years ago by an unknown serial killer. Just as a museum archaeologist and an enigmatic FBI agent begin to unravel the clues to the killings, a fresh spree of copy-cat murders and surgical mutilation erupts around them. Mixing science and terror in a way only they can, Preston and Child deliver a novel that's as gruesome as it is enthralling.

Do not rush and get
Revisado: 04-05-08
This book was ok, I would not rush out and listen to it. There were times I was thinking, did I download a book written for a middle school kid. Then they started to swear so I knew it was suppose to be for an adult. It was very predictable from the start to the end.
