Female Narration is Robotic

Jacob Morgan is one of the best, and I seek out his performances. Unfortunately, Lucy Rivers’s performance almost ruins the book. I had to speed up her chapter because I couldn’t handle her robotic delivery.

Disappointed with Performance

This is my second book written by Tijan, and I won’t fall for the trick again. I prefer to hear books with both male and female readers. About the only reader who can pull off both voices is Andi Arndt. Listening to one voice the entire book is too much. To list a male reader and give a few minutes is messed up and annoying.

Excellent!

I almost didn’t listen to this book because I saw a few negative reviews that left me feeling like the book was full of “triggers”. I feel that what the reviewers viewed as triggers would be triggers for a very small number of readers. I think this story was interesting and deep. Yet, the banter and smart mouth of Ireland gave it a light hearted good feel.

First, it doesn’t get better than Andi Arendt and Zachary Webber. Corinne Michaels will have another stellar series with the Arrowood Brothers. I love it when Webber reads child voices:) There is no way a listener will be disappointed with spending a credit or buying this audio book.

Unexpectedly Good

I really enjoyed this story. The plot twist was unexpected, and at first unwanted. I was pleasantly surprised by the resolution. Could have done without the 2nd somewhat far fetched twist of fate.

I like Callie Dalton, so I enjoyed her narration. I was pleasantly surprised by Teddy Hamilton’s narration.

Performance Ruined It

I’m not big on writing reviews, but I feel compelled to add my opinion. Vi Keeland wrote a promising story, but the narration absolutely ruined it. Cartwright had zero emotion and her pacing was painful.

Surprisingly Good

I am a huge fan of Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber. Basically, if they are narrating, I’m buying. However, the write up on this book had me leaving it until a last option.

Well, I saved one of the best Arndt / Webber books for last. A stressful job leaves me wanting for mindless escapes. This book gave me an excellent escape! Well worth the credit.

Narration was painful

Laugh Out Loud

I rarely take the time to write a review, but this audiobook is worth the time. Andi Arndt, as always, was amazing. Her ability to be multiple characters is amazing. I was so entertained!
