A familiar story with an unfamiliar twist

This is not the first book that I’ve read from this author, but it is definitely my favorite! I’m a huge beauty and the beast fan and this retelling was beautiful! I loved the steampunk twist which made this tale even more fascinating.
As a bonus, the narrator’s voice was lovely.

I really wanted a light and fun story and this was absolutely perfect. The world was fun and very similar to the Pokémon theme, so if you’re a fan of that world, you will find this a very entertaining read.
The narrator’s accent was a bit strong for me but I did not struggle to understand what she was saying. After a chapter or two, I found myself quite used to her voice.

I almost didn’t read this book because the reviews were just mediocre but I love everything else this author has written so decided to give this a try. I am so glad I did! It was so amazing, intense, heart shattering, a crazy cliffhanger. I can’t wait to start the next one!
Took me a while to get used to the narrator, but once I did, she was fantastic.

Unique Take on the Fae!

This book was really intriguing and not your typical fae story. I was a little concerned about the romance aspect part when the first kiss happened so quickly into the story, but this relationship had so many layers to it that it was so fascinating to see it evolve. I loved the “world” that they lived in and am very intrigued to learn more about it in the coming books.
As for the audiobook side: at first, I didn’t think I was going to like the narrator, but after a few minutes she grew on me and it really does fit and brings the story to life

I was able to listen to this as an audiobook on road trips. While I really enjoyed the amazing narrator, the first half of the story for me was extremely slow. The second half picked up and was extremely enjoyable but I found myself extremely disappointed with the ending. I realize there are more in this series but at this moment I’m not sure if I will continue the series.
