I just loved this novel when I found it a few years ago in my local store. The narrator does a wonderful job of bringing the pages to life. A beautiful ending to the trilogy finally getting to see something that has been mentioned since the beginning.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Beautiful Story
Revisado: 09-11-15
Love it, love it! A meticulously researched, briskly paced and surprisingly funny story about an astronaut left behind on Mars, presumed dead, who must now figure out how to survive and let the folks back on Earth know he is alive and needs rescue. Parts of it read like really complicated word problems, juggling mass and time and weight, etc. But all of that adds to the realism. You can tell Andy Weir loves his space exploration and knows a ton about it. The Martian is a fast read, and the main character’s irrepressible sense of humor will have you cheering for him as he tries to survive against impossible odds. If you’re looking for a fast-paced, believable space adventure set in present day, this is your book.

Well Done
Revisado: 09-11-15
Lords of the Sith was a well done story, drawing a intriguing image of the fluid relationship between Sidious and Vader.
From the start, you know that Vader and the Emperor will live to fight another day, but it was great to see a younger ruthless Vader, and that both sides are not just black and white, good and evil. Awesome addition to the Star Wars universe.
