Revisado: 01-31-25
I have to admit when the book started I didn't think I could get into it. but then it had my attention started with the parents worst nightmare ever a kidnapping of your child and not knowing what happened to them probably better that the parents did not ever know what happened to Timmy. the story of how a sister could go through life with so much guilt only to be devastated in the end either way it was sad compelling and had my attention and worth the listen

cute story line
Revisado: 04-14-24
I like to listen to crime novels but I thought I'd get a break and listen to something that was a little light-hearted. this one was quite enjoyable I love the accents and the storyline a bit unpredictable at the end but that's what you want.

Kept me guessing
Revisado: 01-22-24
I enjoy listening to a book that makes me want to continue to listen to it all the time until it's done and then disappointed once it is. I like the storyline not the usual who killed who or who did what to somebody else but involved deception love and retribution. I was also very glad that it didn't include any of the woke agenda that has been in so many books lately.

I could not stop listening
Revisado: 11-14-23
I listen to a lot of books and quite a bit of crime novels. I bought this book because it has good ratings and it deserves everyone of them. The only downside is I had to fast forward through the sex way too much descriptive sex as if you were reading an x rated novel. If a lot of it made sense though when you got to the end of the book in the end of the story. So if you like me just by pass all of that you won't miss anything in the storyline.

Great insight for something I really needed..
Revisado: 09-08-23
Joey I feel as if I know you I want you on Fox. I am a army wife. My husband employed 3 times twice do I rack for a toilet 30 months and then to Iraq for another year. His last Deployment was 2012 and we still have not really talked about any of this. This book gave me some insight on where his head was and probably likely always to be. I thought I bought this book for him but it turned out it was for me as well. So if you are A military family and you don't really understand what's going on in the military person's mind this book might give you some insights if not it's written very well and very enjoyable so thank you Joey for you and all those many men that you served with and all the women that have served over the centuries. I am the only one in my family that did not get to serve . Back in my day there was a height and weight requirement and I was the only 1 that wanted to go to the Navy like my dad but I was too short. So thank you...

Historia
If You're In My Office, It's Already Too Late. James Sexton knows this. After dealing with over 1000 clients whose marriages have dissolved over everything from an ill-advised threesome with the nanny to the uneven division of carpool duties, he also knows all of the what- not-to-dos for couples who want to build - and consistently work to preserve - a lasting, fulfilling relationship. Described by former clients as a "courtroom gunslinger" and "the sociopath you want on your side", Sexton tells the unvarnished truth about relationships. These usually derive from dishonest communication.

Just what I need to care
Revisado: 08-20-23
I heard James speak on a pod was really interested in what he has to say so I've for just one book and I purchased this audible book. Isn't headed to divorce but it certainly's had it struggles over the 20 years of marriage. Many times I've been really unhappy but I realized as a mature adult who's made a commitment to be married that unhappiness is not always just in the marriage it's often in yourself . Many of the Things that he said here I can see Shoe that I have. I can see how my changes in the marriage could very well have contributed to some of our problems. I've sent the book to my spouse and hoping he will listen to it and maybe he also will be able to see his part. There's also many pait's that we already have changed due to marriage counseling in church groups and what not. I would advise any couple in a relationship that is good and are faltering to listen to what this book has to say and You Really take it to Heart and try some of the idiaz to avoid divorce court. Is for reading his latest book.

woke book
Revisado: 04-05-22
I like this writer style in the 1st book however they bought into the cool aid of making everything about left wing policies without realizing a 1/2 of America 1/2 the people that read these books are not left wingers . I want to read a book to escape away from what's going on I don't want to be part of it if I wanted a history lesson from a writer I would have picked up a book in the library v stick to writing books and stay out of politics.

Historia
When Marshall McEwan left his hometown at age 18, he vowed never to return. The trauma that drove him away ultimately spurred him to become one of the most successful journalists in Washington DC. But just as the political chaos in the nation’s capital lifts him to new heights, Marshall is forced to return home in spite of his boyhood vow. His father is dying, his mother is struggling to keep the family newspaper from failing, and the town is in the midst of an economic rebirth that might be built upon crimes that reach into the state capitol - and perhaps even to Washington.

Good story better if not for politics
Revisado: 01-18-22
Once again, I find a story that I enjoy. But it always has to come to the same things we have to critique the other half of America that is Republican or trump supporters. I did not find a reason why in this book CNN was mentioned over and over again when they are so far less superior to Fox News in the ratings.. There was critique of trump, and you top it off; there was anti religion. Can you writers not just write a Dang book without the politics because you are turning off the other half of America? I know this doesn't really tell you about the book but I did have to say that because at last 3 books that I have paid and listened to and listen to do not tell you in the bio that they're going to partique how you believe. But yes for now on I have to research the writers to make sure make sure that they are republicans or that they do not mention politics at all.
