Step back inside the world of President Jed Bartlet’s Oval Office with Fitzgerald and McCormack as they reunite the West Wing cast and crew in a lively and colorful “backstage pass” to the timeless series. This intimate, in-depth reflection reveals how The West Wing was conceived, and spotlights the army of people it took to produce it, the lifelong friendships it forged, and the service it inspired.

I loved everything about this audiobook
Revisado: 09-06-24
As a quasi Wing Nut I couldn’t have enjoyed this book more. Richard Schiff’s eulogy to John Spencer brought me to tears. Reminiscing on the show was great reminder of what made me love this show, but the in depth and behind scenes look at the show was at times funny but mostly touching and inspiring. Thank you.

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

I don’t understand why so many people love this audiobook. It’s
Revisado: 05-22-24
I’ll admit I’m not the target audience for this audiobook, as I am not at teenage girl. However, there were enough overwhelmingly positive reviews that I thought I might really enjoy not just this book but the entire series. I could not have been more wrong.
I don’t at all understand what people found interesting in this book. First, the narrator is so consistently melodramatic that it’s comical and grating at the same time. The overly lustful protagonist grows trope tiresome real fast. The first few times….no problem, the 50th you just want to fast forward because you get it already. This audiobook is also really long which normally I have no problem with if the book is enjoyable but in this case I just couldn’t wait for it to end. Definitely my last book in this series and problem in the entire genre.

Marginal at best
Revisado: 11-13-23
This book is remarkably unoriginal and uninteresting at the same time even with the minor twist at the end. The Ellanor character is so over the top, it’s absurd and took me out of the story. Bob is barely any better, these are over the top charatures of bad but not the least bit believable.

I don’t understand the good reviews
Revisado: 08-18-23
This isn’t an in depth look at NXIVM, it’s just the story of Toni and how she was duped by Keith. It’s an incredibly far cry from objective, it’s the equivalent of a long Op-Ed column. No blame was ever acknowledged for her involvement it what is clearly a scam from a huckster, just endless blaming of other people.
Also, the performance is dire need of a professional reader. It boarders on shrill,
I wanted to like this audiobook, that’s why I bought it. Of the 200+ audiobooks I’ve listened to over the years, this is one of the worst and every level.

Historia
“Homecoming” takes us back to Ford County, the fictional setting of many of John Grisham’s unforgettable stories. Jake Brigance is back, but he’s not in the courtroom. He’s called upon to help an old friend, Mack Stafford, a former lawyer in Clanton, who three years earlier became a local legend when he stole money from his clients, divorced his wife, filed for bankruptcy, and left his family in the middle of the night, never to be heard from again—until now. Now Mack is back, and he’s leaning on his old pals, Jake and Harry Rex, to help him return. His homecoming does not go as planned.

Not great
Revisado: 04-23-23
3 stories that weren’t that interesting, I could t even finish the second story. The other 2 end really abruptly. This book seems like a cash grab. Toss a couple old stories together he was working on that were good enough to be their own book and ring the cash register. I’ll be more before buying the next grisham book.

This is an amazing book
Revisado: 05-23-18
I wouldn’t say this is the type of book I typically listen to or read but I found it fascinating. It’s beautifully written and does an excellent job of capturing the subtleties of human emotion and experience. It’s a great novel, I couldn’t recommend it more.
