Historia
Raziel Tenza and Rin Torra are likely the worst Moonken to ever train at the monastery on the mystical shores of Crescent Isle. But when an insurgent gang of miscreants (The Red Cobras) threaten to run them out of town, they decide to team up and stand their ground. The only problem is...they stink at kung fu!

A strong start to a compelling setting
Revisado: 08-21-23
In short... this audiobook was awesome!! I really felt it for all the characters. They're compelling, quirky, well defined, and characterized. The setting is beautiful and intriguing, which made me want to lose myself exploring it and meeting more of its people, and the plot started of great! I really want to hear more. It's awesome the way I actually felt that I cared to know what happens next.
As a personal opinion, I would really like to hear a bit more variation in the voices of the characters in the books to come and, while this seemed to be fixed by the end, I felt that the narration at times was really fast paced.
That being said, I can't wish the best for this series enough, and I really want to see it succeed just as much as I want Rin and Raz to succeed! Will be eagerly waiting for the rest of the story!

Historia
Working at a dead-end retail job in the middle of nowhere can be hard. The long hours. The helpless customers. The enormous eldritch horror living deep below the building. As the only full-time employee at the 24 hour gas station at the edge of town, Jack has pretty much seen it all. But when he decides to start an online journal documenting the bizarre day-to-day occurrences, he unwittingly attracts the attention of much more than just a few conspiracy theorists.

Not what I expected and that is great.

I met this series thanks to the narrated creepypasta on YouTube and instantly loved it. My first thoughts coming to the audiobook were "ok, I'm going to listen to pretty much the same I've heard on the YouTube 8-hour video, only with a added details. I underestimated the "added details" bit.
The way Jack's written makes him feel so real and relatable. And I can't imagine any other person giving him a voice other than Mr.CreepyPasta. This was a hell of a ride and I'm looking forward for the next volume.
Weirdest moment for me: everything related to Rick Rosco and Rick Rosco.
