Historia
Glasgow, 1932. When the son-in-law of one of the city’s wealthiest shipbuilders is found floating in the River Clyde with his throat cut, it falls to Inspector Jimmy Dreghorn to lead the murder case–despite sharing a troubled history with the victim’s widow. From the flying fists and flashing blades of Glasgow’s gangland underworld to the backstabbing upper echelons of government and big business, Dreghorn and his partner, “Bonnie” Archie McDaid, will have to dig deep into Glasgow society to find out who wanted the man dead and why.

not what i’m used to
Revisado: 04-01-24
i have listened to every book in this series. starting with the first bosch novel going all the way through to this one. i’m not sure if someone else has written or cowritten these last couple but all i can say is i hope so. this is not up to the standards i’m used to . this offering as well as the last book have lacked for me in every way except the performance. the story seems predictable and stale. fewer twists almost no mystery just a real disappointment. i guess all good things come to an end.

Historia
Texas attorney and former Texas Ranger Billy Bob Holland has many secrets. Among them is Vernon Smother's son, Lucas, a now-teenaged boy about whom few know the truth - Lucas is really Billy Bob's illegitimate son. When Lucas is arrested for murder, Billy Bob must confront the past and serve as the boy's criminal attorney. Billy Bob knows the propensity of the town, Deaf Smith, Texas, to make scapegoats out of the innocent and to exploit and sexually use the powerless.

poor narration
Revisado: 12-31-22
any james lee book not narrarated by wiil patton or mark hammer is simply a shame. this guy tom, however you pronounce his last name, was unprepared and completely out of his depth with the task of telling this story. it’s a shame too, it’s a really good story.

seems off?
Revisado: 05-26-22
i have listened to the entire series in order so far. first, this titus fellow has been the worst narrarater by far , so far. his dead panned delivery makes it hard to follow and confusing at times and over all is boring and droning. in short, just awful. as far as the writer, and i’m not convinced Connelly wrote this, there are several times where the historical reflections on past cases and colleagues made by Harry are simply innacurate when compared to the original publication. this almost feels like a cheap copy that i bought at full price.

Historia
Bo Tully is the sheriff of Blight County, Idaho, where law enforcement is usually pretty mundane: tracking down truants running away from school, picking up country boys who've had a few too many beers. But Tully gets a little more than the country norm when an ex-con calls with the startling news that there's a corpse draped across one of his fences.
