In James Herriot's fourth volume of superb memoirs the Yorkshire Dales are smiling on him. He now has a lovely wife by his side, a partner's plate on the gate and the usual menagerie of farm animals, pets and owners. Meanwhile, Siegfried is thrashing around the practice, Tristan is (occasionally) buckling down to his finals and James is signed up for a local cricket team.

Vet in Harness is another great book in the James Herriot series. Each chapter brings another delightful insight into the human or animal pysche.
Who was your favorite character and why?
James Herriot himself is my favourite as he is the one who brings the story all together.
Have you listened to any of Christopher Timothy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This one is as good as all the rest. A pleasure to listen to.

Where does One Good Turn rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One Good Turn is one of those audiobooks you don't want to stop. Listening to it on a long car journey, I didn't want to get out of the car, but continue listening.
What did you like best about this story?
Although a bit quirky, I liked the way the many parts of the story came together, and I liked the way the story ended with the character it began with.
What does Jason Isaacs bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The book comes alive with Jason Isaacs reading it.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I liked the end where it all came together.
