Historia
Denise Hamilton has always believed in the power and promise of a word she learned as a schoolgirl: “indivisible.” In her groundbreaking debut, she challenges listeners to move beyond current notions of diversity and inclusion to build communities, workplaces, and relationships that live up to that word. She urges us to reexamine long-held beliefs and habits and to dismantle hierarchies that shape our current society. If we want to repair the fraying stitches that bind us together, if we want to build a truly close-knit collective, we cannot settle for our present approach.

We all have blind spots
Revisado: 01-30-25
I really appreciated all the practical frameworks offered throughout this book. I especially liked the chapters on choosing a justice of the peace, choosing the uncomfortable truth over lies, and how we hold onto strange artifacts or stories that are no longer serving us and are often not even true. The audiobook also had an attached PDF with all the visual illustrations from the book. The final few chapters had many hands-on and practical frameworks that you can apply to your own business. I recommend that you pick up this book and digest it. Then go out and watch all the movies that Denise recommended to open your mind to different ways of thinking.

The manual for understanding people
Revisado: 06-22-22
I devoured this book and I plan to take it on as my project for at least the next 25 weeks. This is the length of the plan Chase laid out for all of us at the end of the book to internalize his periodic table of human behavior.
As a social media marketing agency owner and trainer, this book is liquid gold. My business is to persuade people to take actions that are great for their business and customers, but that are not always easy to implement.
In many ways, social media environments require us to face our fears head on every day. In the book, Chase lays out the pillars that unconsciously drive our decisions and the fears that keep us from moving forward, (and yes Chase, as I write this I realize I'm others focused).
The frameworks in this book can't be unseen and I am very excited to apply it to help my clients and students get better results.
Just buy the book, you won't regret it!

Historia
Intelligence is usually seen as the ability to think and learn, but in a rapidly changing world, there's another set of cognitive skills that might matter more: the ability to rethink and unlearn. In our daily lives, too many of us favor the comfort of conviction over the discomfort of doubt. We listen to opinions that make us feel good, instead of ideas that make us think hard. We see disagreement as a threat to our egos, rather than an opportunity to learn.

Revisado: 02-15-20
This book calls up to excellence in our craft. It also challenges you to focus in an increasingly unfocused world. I also appreciated that the author gave practical steps to find your one thing and ways to achieve mastery in it. I was inspired to double down on my pathway.

Historia
If you’re having trouble solving a problem or reaching a dream, the problem isn’t you. It’s that you haven’t yet installed the one belief that changes everything. Marie’s mom once told her, “Nothing in life is that complicated. You can do whatever you set your mind to if you roll up your sleeves. Everything is figureoutable.” Whether you want to leave a dead end job, break an addiction, learn to dance, heal a relationship, or grow a business, Everything is Figureoutable will show you how.

Great book to encourage you to keep going
Revisado: 01-24-20
I love Marie's storytelling style. I grew up in a family where college seemed like a faraway dream. I wanted to go, but there wasn't much money and neither of my parents had gone and didn't know how to make it happen. I enrolled in the local community college despite my good grades and strong resume of extracurricular activities because I didn't know how to apply and get the financial aid I needed. Somewhere in that first semester I decided to leave helplessness behind and take control of my own destiny. I applied for a school across the country and learned everything I could about financial aid (and this was before the Internet). Marie's Everything Is Figureoutable mantra resonated with my own hard earned experience and should be something that everyone learns. It was also a good reminder for me now as I step out to the next level in my business.
