I love this is a completely clean, emotionally engaging story that is about a YA MC. I love Owen and have known many children like him. His story starts here and I want this on the screen preferably a series because it is that good

WARNING MMCPOV
Revisado: 11-26-22
what does that mean to most, multiple main characters points of views, so if you believe that a story can/should have only 1 MC, please don't waste your time. Aesthetically the story is really engaging, and each character has distinctive quirks to make them more 3D. First of all let me state that structurally speaking there's nothing wrong with the story either. Some people can't stand the jumps from characters who are engaged in various different activities across the world because they're easily confused, but I don't mind. Personally my only structural issue is that the jumps in time for certain characters are not bringing you back to present before the character signs off and you are unsure of where in time you are for that character when it gets back to their turn. Definitely looking forward to more and a stellar narration

Historia
The Sumerians are widely regarded as the first people to develop civilization in the sense that modern humans understand the term. They were pioneers in a variety of fields, including language, government, architecture, and more. Before the Babylonians took control in 2004 BC, they ruled the region for close to 2,000 years, during which time they were successful in maintaining their dominance.

misleading title
Revisado: 10-24-22
the book is great for historians but the title is misleading. you don't even begin to cover any myths until chapter 7 of 9. Personally I love history but for the people who want just the mythology, it is not so great. The biggest mistake the book formatting people made was the author notes, life, and what should be the footnotes are at the beginning of this book not in the back of book where references are supposed to go.

First time Ever to Love
Revisado: 09-26-22
Normally I would tell you that I am a bigger fan of fantasy and it's subgenre sets over anything Sci Fi. Normally I would tell you true, that I don't do anything remotely close to Hard to Standard Sci fi at all, ( not if I really want to enjoy the story) and for a multitude of reasons for it, predominantly the tech jargon. Normally all this is true, but I have to say the collaboration between author and narrator makes this series an exception. I wasn't bored, lost, or overthinking which Normally would not be odd maybe if it was light/ mildly SciFi . I absolutely loved everything about this story and it stands to reason a reader should love the stories. Against the odds and my own prejudice this is a Real True Sci Fi earned genre (anything more complicated than string theory surely qualifies ) and I felt engaged, invested and mostly understood all of it; even the "technical" theories /scientific explanations without any of the usual negative connotations reading such subject matter usually has for me. If you remotely like Scifi, unusual storyline, or have been searching for something both familiar and completely different, I definitely recommend this book. I hope the series continues with the great vocal and great written plots, characters, world building etc because it definitely makes me feel entertained and more open minded to a genre I usually avoid like the plague

Historia
I always knew I was different, but I never knew why. My name is Aiden Cross, and if you asked me a month ago if this type of thing existed, an academy for the exceptional, I’d call you a liar. The supernatural exists, and apparently, I’m one of them. It’s in my DNA, just like all of the other students here at the academy. I thought it was cool to be around others like me, but it turns out that this school is like high school on steroids. The classes are tough, the exercises are brutal, and to top it off, I’m at a major disadvantage because I can’t access my powers at will.

This is a great story about a kid just looking to belong and doing his best to prove his worth, especially to himself. I find him exceptionally relatable and the problems he faces, super power aside, are something we've all faced at some point. Good action, engaging plot

Historia
I'm Hailey Bradbury, hedge witch and vampire. My sire was staked moments after I was turned. As a youngling, the Voodoo Queen took me in. She taught me her art. I've been working with the new Mistress of the Vampire Council. She trained me in the ways of vampirism, the path of the night. Witchcraft plus voodoo and vampirism equals what I call bloodwitchery. Most witches won't mess with the power latent in blood. It's dark. It's dangerous. But if you can master it...you can harness the power of life itself.

same Narrator as Mercy, distinct&different voices
Revisado: 07-08-22
I enjoyed both Mercy's and Hailey's stories and although I prefer Mercy personally... I still love the talent of the narrative both by the author and narrator. At first I was taken aback, Hailey's personality comes across as a little egotistical and possibly shallow. Then I remembered she starts her story as a child. As she becomes a confident woman, witch, vampire, she grows up and looses some of her more abrasive attributes like pettiness and becomes a thoughtful, caring, powerful woman. The transformation is subtle and well written. At the end she is not like she was in the beginning and I am looking forward to more
