I read this as a child and decided to reread it over a decade later. I was surprised how much I had forgotten. The narrator was phenomenal in his telling of the story! Such a classic book and would recommend to all!

I would. The subject matter is interesting enough. I would strongly suggest a different narrator.
Would you be willing to try another one of Deb Thomas’s performances?
No. Her narration is awful. I can handle a fast reader. I cannot handle a narrator who does not seem to breathe between sentences or pause in between paragraphs. The narration does not flow at all.

I was hoping more more vampire stories, but it seems this is a repackaging of the same stories in The Vampire Archives. The narration and stories are really good.

What would have made Horror Stories better?
If the narrator had made an effort to engage the reader with her voice.
What could the authors have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
This collection seemed like the perfect choice. Many of my favorite authors are featured in this anthology. I could not get past the narrator's constant, unchanging way of reading.
