This classic deserves better

Possibly unabridged with random voice actors

Before starting this book, I read a review about someone freaking out over the actors and it being an abridged reading. I don’t know 100%but it definitely didn’t feel abrupt. The gentleman that reads the majority of the book does an excellent job and then at random moments we are gifted with performances by actors reading key parts. I couldn’t understand why it happens but it was nice to break things up. The guy reading the Baron is amazing. It’s just a little strange. As if the producers ran out of time or money and couldn’t pull off a full cast reading. It wasn’t a big distraction and over I really enjoyed the book. I was curious after seeing the new movie and really feel like I understood everything this world Herbert penned. It’s now time for the next book!

What an amazing life Arnold has had! You won’t be disappointed with this. I’d definitely suggest the unabridged version, the depth of each chapter of his life is fascinating! Arnold reads from just the beginning and end of the book, but Lang does a great job with the rest.
