Fun mystery
Revisado: 02-11-25
I liked that the narration was good, the characters were interesting and it was easy to follow. The outcome was unexpected but made sense. The main character was a little hard headed but perhaps it made sense given her history.

Just okay
Revisado: 01-20-25
It took me a long time to get into this book. The drinking, fairies and disrespect for her marriage was too much for me. I get it that she was traumatized but instead of trying to figure it out she ran away with alcohol and travel. It didn’t work for me.

Historia
In Toxic Empathy, Allie Beth Stuckey argues that empathy has become a tool of manipulation by left-wing activists who bully people into believing that they must adopt progressive positions to be loving. She explores the five most heated issues through which toxic empathy is deployed: abortion, gender, sexuality, immigration, and social justice. Progressives use catchy mantras to present their perspective as empathetic, like “abortion is healthcare,” “love is love,” or “no human being is illegal,” but in each case, they ignore the other side of the moral equation.

Clear truth about our world today
Revisado: 10-19-24
Ali Beth does an excellent job of documenting all of her findings about abortion, transgenderism, immigration, and all of the other crazy ideas that are being thrown at us today. She shows how we should not be guilted into believing that to be a good Christian we must go along with these things that the Bible says are wrong.

Truth about wolves in the church
Revisado: 08-27-24
I loved the way Megan didn’t hold back to spare feelings but told it like it is. We need to face up to what’s happening in many of our churches and fight back with the truth of God’s Word. She also shared about her own struggles which was SO encouraging…to see how far the truth of the Word can take people! Wonderful!

I did not know about eugenics in the U.S. except for what planned parenthood encourages with children who have birth defects…abortion. This book shines light on this sad situation while telling a beautiful story about people trying to make sense of it all and finding support for life with one another. Excellent story!

Honest Account
Revisado: 04-30-24
I liked that Demi tried to be completely honest about all she felt and did…good, bad, and awful. It was really sad that she didn’t receive better values and direction in her life. I don’t blame her for struggling with the upbringing she had. It was truly terrible. I just wish that she would realize that there’s a God who loves her and has a better life for her, following Him. We don’t have to keep stumbling through life alone. Jesus can help. He left His word for us, the Bible, and it is good!
