Cute Story with a HEA
Revisado: 10-14-24
The story was great and I love that the author allowed for conflict that was reasonable throughout the book. The female narrator did an amazing job. However, the male narrator’s approach could use a bit more finesse. Thankfully, the story outweighed this slight distraction.

Great Story!
Revisado: 11-11-23
This story held my attention and had me invested in each character. I liked that the supporting characters had their own things going on to the point where the story had me interested in hearing more about them. And I loved hearing stories of all these Black entrepreneurs! Simone’s narration was amazing. Roman’s was okay too, but it was just too fast. It would have been better for the narrator to slow down a bit. I’m glad the majority of the story was narrated by Wesleigh Siobhan for that reason alone. I would highly recommend.

Historia
Isabelle is completely lost. When she first began her career in publishing after college, she did not expect to be twenty-five, still living at home, and one of the few Black employees at her publishing house. Overworked and underpaid, constantly torn between speaking up or stifling herself, Izzy thinks there must be more to this publishing life. So when she overhears her boss complaining about a beastly high-profile author who has failed to deliver his long-awaited manuscript, Isabelle sees an opportunity to prove her worth and finally get the recognition she deserves.

A Cute PG Romance
Revisado: 05-01-23
This story was very well written and I loved the development of the characters. It’s a PG romantic story that I could totally see as a Hallmark movie, but better written. I liked finding out that this was meant to be a modern take on Beauty and the Beast. It was very well done and I loved the references throughout the book. I would highly recommend. The narrator was good as well.
